Vacations are a time to unwind and enjoy yourself with friends or family, or to simply get away from it all. And what's a vacation without a few photos to remember it by? It's a vacation requirement to have some new memories to look back on in a few years! Photos with friends, family, pets, sights, and locals are always something to anticipate and cherish.

However, not all pictures are excellent. A photo fail caused by the wrong location or timing might have you laughing out loud or hiding your face in embarrassment. These images aren't exactly what these vacationers had in mind when they took them.

Dog Sled Rides Are Fun But...

Dog sled rides are a pleasant family activity, especially around the holidays and in colder climates. This photograph depicts a happy family, however, there is a lot going on in this photograph.

This family, like many others that visit Poland for a vacation, opted to create a traditional-looking winter picture, and they all look nice, except for the odd one out in the bear costume. The snapshot will undoubtedly generate a lot of laughter at a future family gathering. His only saving grace is that his face is concealed beneath all that fur he's putting on.

The Ultimate Betrayal! Daddy, Why?

It's fun to look at jumping images, especially when they're in a group. However, you may need to try a few times before you find the perfect one. Except for a minor mishap, this may have turned out to be a fantastic one.

The poor little child was dropped by daddy! With their wide, cheerful smile directed at the camera, mom and her older sister are completely unaware of what's going on. However, if we're being honest, the little one appears to be having a good time as well. She's certainly a fighter to the core!

Frozen in Time

Incredible picture, right? Yes, we agree this is one of those once-in-a-lifetime pictures you happen to take at the perfect time. If it wasn't a colored photo, you'd think it's a work of art. The picture was said to have been taken at Chena Hot Springs sometime in the afternoon by a husband whose wife decided to experiment with her hair and the weather.

After 15 minutes in -20º F, while soaking in the hot springs, the outcome was this gorgeous but risky sight. However, we're sure that the fun involved outweighed any minor discomfort.

That's One Heck of An Illusion

Whatever you think you're seeing in this image is most likely false. Just so you know, there's only one woman in the photo with one head. This disturbing shot is the result of a botched selfie, which appears to show two heads on one body. This, it turns out, is a panoramic photo captured by a Reddit user.

According to him, you're supposed to be still while taking the photo, but the girlfriend in the photo sneezed during the process, resulting in this strange-looking photo that has since become an internet sensation.

The Deer Takeover

How come this boy is completely oblivious to the fact that his sister is being mauled by a herd of deer just a few feet behind him? He seemed to be really pleased with his photograph, but we're not so sure about his sister. Given the number of deer crowding her space, she appears to be getting it.

She's probably holding something that's appealing to the animals. The boy's obliviousness combined with the small child's precarious circumstances creates an epic picture that the girl will not find amusing now or in the future.

The Perfectly Timed Stingray Hit

When you come upon a fish while you're in the water, you're either frightened or curious. In this scenario, it is the former that causes the victim to cry unabashedly. When you travel on vacation, you are practically certain to come into contact with these types of creatures. Rather than being alienated, many people are intrigued.

The woman here seems quite horrified as the stingray jumps out of the water and onto her back. We can't say we blame her; it looks terrifying, but amusing nevertheless. When she looks back at this photo, she will undoubtedly find it funny that she was so terrified.

One With The  New Monkey Pal

The family vacation is a time when the camera is brought out more frequently than usual. As a result, many magical moments, including horrible ones, are captured in still images forever. One of such pictures is one of this young man who was captured as he's been done dirty by the monkey.

While some countries allow monkeys to roam freely due to cultural and religious beliefs, some individuals also keep monkeys as pets. We don't know which category this individual belongs to, but we do know that this is a photo that will be remembered for a long time.

Mickey With An Appetite

This should have been an innocently sweet picture, especially with the adorable young girl who was Photobombed. Depending on your perspective, it's either a great or not-so-good scenario. It's not-so-good because her perfect picture was ruined and it's the other way because she gets to be in this somewhat unusual picture where Mickey is found doing the unthinkable.

Has Mickey lost his mind? We don't know for sure, because why else would he leave cheese for humans? Jokes aside though, this is most likely as a result of the angle in which the photo was taken, but it certainly makes for a funny Photobomb picture.

Nature's Priceless Sunscreen

There's nothing like a good mud bath on a hot day, but this guy must have gone overboard. Mud will most likely protect you from the sun's intense rays if you don't have any sunscreen. Our guy here seemed to be unconcerned with the heat, as he seemed to see the mud as a natural sunscreen.

It's hilarious, but when he returns from vacation and sees this photo, he'll probably wonder why he had such on him in the first place. It makes us question what he was hoping to accomplish with this picture.

Got Some Bananas?

Here's a real application of the phrase "monkey see, monkey do." It turns out that it also works on people in this circumstance. When a monkey develops an interest in you, it can be a nasty situation since he will go to any length to get to you or do whatever you do.

This image exemplifies this point. The monkeys didn't seem to mind that she was in the water, as you can see. It's alright as long as they can get to the food she's holding. The lady in the picture is probably entertained and enjoys the attention.

Living It Up In Disney World

Many Disney lovers who have visited Disneyland have wonderful recollections of their experience and several photographs to prove it. From the Typhoon Lagoon water park to the Crushin N’ Gusher, it's fun all the way. The Splash Mountain, which can be seen in this photo, is a popular attraction among many.

As much as it looks like a lot of fun, especially with the pose and the fake swords in the pictures, the lady in the blue raincoat certainly has something going on. She's presumably dressed that way to avoid getting wet, but what fun is it if there's no water? It's debatable how confining the ride was for her.

Dolphin Surprise Photobomb

In what has to be one of the coolest photobombs ever, an extra friendly dolphin has become the champion of this get-away image. While it may appear that the dolphin was Photoshopped in, this was not the case. This photo was taken at precisely the right time.

The dolphin, it seemed, chose to make an appearance to grace the occasion just as the photo was taken. We're sure the individuals in the photo are thrilled to see the dolphin appear in such a spectacular manner. This will undoubtedly be a memorable experience!

How Bad Was The Trip

If you've ever been on a family road trip, especially one with children, you'll know that the question "Are we there yet?" comes up frequently. It either demonstrates their enthusiasm for exploring new places or their desire for the experience to end. In this situation, though, it appears that the mother has had enough of traveling.

The kids in the rear appear to be on the verge of giving up as well. Indeed, the shot has been lovingly immortalized with the tagline "vacation from hell." What are the chances? They've probably been on the road for a while.

During their rafting trip, this family must have come across a big wave, which sent the mother over the edge. Rafting can be fraught with danger for people with no experience, but fortunately, the group's mom was unscathed. What Beats A Seagull's Present At The Beach

It's all fun and games until you have to evade an oncoming seagull when buried in the sand at the beach. Then it's no longer amusing. This guy is definitely reconsidering his decision to be at the beach in the first place after receiving this unpleasant treat from a trio of seagulls. Isn't he aware of the golden rule that you should never let someone bury you at the beach?!

While he appears to be having a bad day, those who buried him are most likely having a good laugh at his expense. Though we believe he should be grateful because, at the very least, he is wearing sunglasses.

My Crocs, My Choice

To begin with, getting sunburned is not fun! And, as if Crocs weren't bad enough to wear on their own, this gentleman appears to have suffered from one of the worst sunburns ever, and he probably didn't even know it until it was too late. We know Crocs are comfortable footwear. For the next few weeks though, it appears that our friend here will be restricted to putting in sneakers.

He'll most likely win first place for the ugliest foot in the world competition, thanks to his hideous Crocs and severe sunburn.

A Memorable Moment Blown Away

When children in a family get along long enough to take a photo, it's heartwarming for parents. Until a strong breeze got the best of the girl on the far left, this picture was almost perfect for a Christmas card. She'll definitely feel horrible about herself when she notices that everyone else in the photo is model-perfect except for her.

The hair and facial expression make for a hilarious photo, even if she doesn't find it funny. We hope, for her sake, that the family took a lot of pictures on their vacation to compensate for this one.

Anywhere but Here

Have you ever been forced to do something you didn't want to do on vacation? This family was looking forward to visiting all of Washington, D.C.'s historical sites...except for one.The little miss appears to be uninterested in learning about history or politics. Or maybe she's just exhausted after the trip and the photos.

Holding on With a Pinch

If you've ever been struck, gripped, or pinched by a toddler, you know how strong these tiny creatures can be. You'd assume their touches would be gentle because they're babies. You'd be shocked at what you'd find. Certainly, the father in this photograph was.

They were attempting to capture a nice father-son portrait to serve as a memento of their short holiday, but Junior had other ideas. At least one of the people in the photo finds it amusing. Though the father is expected to recover quickly, it is likely to be the last time he leaves his child with an empty hand.

This gentleman was most likely looking forward to a relaxing day on the course. The area must have been a long way from the restroom or the man in the background just couldn’t hold it any longer. He chose the only close alternative he could find which is the pond behind him.

Fortunately, the older gentleman nearby is so interested in his golf game that he is unaware of the unpleasantness taking place behind him. It could have been one of those fleeting moments if it weren't for the fact that the moment was captured in a still photograph.

Unhappy in Disney DUMPS

Family vacations are supposed to be fun, relaxing, and later fill you with wonderful memories. This family, however, looks like they needed a vacation from their vacation.

They were apparently at “the happiest place on earth” (Disney World) but were not really feeling the upbeat vibe. Theme Parks can be exhausting, and vacations do take planning and still involve a certain amount of stress. Hopefully, things worked out for the family and they got the rest, fun, and sweet memories they were looking for.

An Epic Flamingo Flop

There is no vacation without hundreds of memorable photos to take home though some of the photos do not always show the fun and perfect aspects. Sometimes, it portrays awkward moments like this one.

Pool toys and inner tubes make time spent in the water so much more enjoyable and relaxing until it's time to exit them. If your water toy is in the shape of a flamingo, you have very few alternatives for getting out. There are certainly worse methods to dispose of an inner tube, but this one appears to be both unpleasant and memorable.

Testing The Dangerous Waters

This isn't a scene from"Jaws," the movie, it's a snapshot taken in real life! You'd think that a warning like this would keep people out of the water, but as you can see, even the threat of a shark encounter didn't discourage these people.

Yes, the temptation may be strong, especially if this is your only opportunity to swim during your trip. But Is it really worth the risk of a shark attack? This image screams, "I'd rather die from a shark attack than not swim." Isn't it ridiculous? Hopefully, nobody who was in the water was harmed.

You Can Already Sense The Mischief

Most of us don't have the luxury of spending all of our time with our extended family, which is why one family chose to take advantage of the fact that they were all together to snap a great family portrait. Everyone, with the exception of one small boy, decided to put on a lovely smile or at the very least a serious expression.

Have you found the mischievous youngster yet? Right in the upper right corner, he's there. It's clear he's a delight to be around. Sadly, he is likely to have gotten into trouble for sabotaging a perfectly beautiful family portrait.

This picture is genuine, and it's one of the most striking in the collection. This is the total opposite of many situations where things go awry. This little kid is, in reality, simply sitting on the sand with his monkey companion on top of him and a large, magnificent parrot perched on his knee. The stars have aligned to produce what may potentially be the ideal holiday memory shot, one that we're sure this kid will boast about for years to come. A wonderfully natural, lovely, and unforgettable photo is what most people strive for.

Best Sunscreen Ad

Not only will these two never forget to apply sunscreen again, but this will be the family portrait they display for years to come, ensuring that the next generation does as well. Even without their expression, it hurts to look at this!

We're not sure how these two plan to get out of their swimming suits without crying in agony, but they should probably make a deal with a sunscreen brand and see if they can get a deal for an ad campaign before they do. This shot, more than anything else, will get people to use sunscreen.

Grandma and the Chippendales

This picture was said to have been taken on a trip to Las Vegas and guess who was having the time of her life? Grandma! The trip which she took with friends appeared to be her first to the city and luckily, the Chippendales dancers pulled her up on the stage.

Apparently, she was thrilled, who wouldn't be? Not only did she get to go on stage, she even sat on one's lap for the photo! You go, grandma! Well, we're sure this picture is right there among her most treasured memories.

It's Not a Good Vacay Pic Without The Heels

There's nothing quite like a relaxing beach vacation when you can let your hair down and simply enjoy the fresh ocean wind. Unless you simply must have the perfect beach photo, complete with full makeup and high heels.

Heels are a great way to add class and appeal to a variety of outfits, but not all of them. Obviously, this woman is totally ignorant of this. Maybe she believes she's too trendy to wear a bathing suit at the beach. Well, the joke is on her because not only is she ruining a good pair of shoes, she's also looking totally out of place.

Not The Best 'Bring your Children To Work Day'

And the best dad award goes to... Certainly not the father of these children, because what is this? The expression on the children's faces says it all "What's the deal, dad? What happened to Disney? Again?!" We're asking the same questions, to be honest. It looks like the parents of these children couldn't think of a more appropriate getaway site than a landfill?

Unless, of course, it's a 'bring your children to work' day. Otherwise, the only credit we give the parents is that they prioritized safety and required their children to wear helmets. You could tell these kids are stressed by the look on their faces.

Mama Bear Needs Directions

Either this is the worst case of vehicle problems we've ever seen, or this family intentionally pulled over to get a better look at that mama bear and her offspring. Regardless, we highly suggest that they get that car moving as soon as possible. We're not sure if the kid's parents understood how dangerous he was dangling out the rear of the car like that!

Perhaps the mother bear became lost in the woods and went to the roadway to seek guidance from a passing motorist. Whatever is going on here, we hope that everyone is unharmed.

The Unforgettable Fits

When it comes time to take a family portrait, families go all out to look alike, presumably to ensure that future generations have no doubt that they are related. These photos, like this awkward family snapshot, are usually amusing to look at.

This photo is comical on so many levels: their similar outfits, their extremely awkward smiles, and the fact that they're all staring in different directions. It's almost certain that the kids in this picture will not want to share this snapshot of their family in public, though the parents might frame it somewhere in their home.

Eurotrip Memorable Moments

Taking images on vacation should, in principle, be a breeze. You're far from home, relaxing and having a good time in the sun, possibly on the beach. In actuality, some of these photos don't turn out as good as others, such as this one.

Even though these parents are doing their hardest to make the most of their stay in France, their child is not having it. His head is buried in the plastic bag, so even a trip to the Eiffel Tower does not interest him. We're not sure if he's searching for anything or if he's sick from jet lag, but he spoiled the snap.

Drop the Baby

Another baby dropped. People should be aware that when taking family photos, additional care should be used with babies. It's not nice to drop your babies for the sake of getting the ideal photograph when taking the perfect family picture.

Although it is amusing to see, we are confident that this poor baby did not share our sentiments. In addition, the mother is most likely attempting to juggle three children to get the perfect shot. When the child sees this photo in a few years, she'll most likely laugh it off.

A Freaky Photobomb

Photobombs, as we all know, can be amusing, if not a little weird. Some can be quite strange or even frightening. Imagine snapping a selfie with your loved one and discovering an unwelcome guest posing with you on your shoulder.

It's difficult to ascertain if this person is a jester, a clown, a street artist, or...just someone who enjoys wearing makeup. In any case, seeing this sight suddenly staring back at you in your camera would be disconcerting. After their new friend left, the pair most likely took the shot they wanted.

Hindsight, Literally!

Once again we have a situation where a family just wanted to take a nice vacation photo together and they ended up with someone butting in (literally) and ruining their picture. We can’t blame the guy though, it's a really nice view and to be fair, he's probably not aware that they were trying to take a photo next to him.

He ended up being the center of attraction and if he's a member of the family, then it'll be something to laugh about later in the future.

Perfect Time To Attack

You're most likely concerned about the youngster's safety. However, it's just a typical family vacation photograph, complete with a kid being taunted by the family dog. Everyone probably warned him not to play with the dog while taking the photo, but he did so anyway, and the dog attacked him.

We all know how mischievous dogs can be when they are excited, and this one was most likely trying to show his gratitude to the young boy, but things went wrong. It's hilarious, and the family will certainly laugh at it if they saw it in a few years

Vacation Hospital Time

A trip to the E.R. is almost impossible to avoid on any holiday. It's very likely that you'll end up in the hospital at some point during your vacation because you fell on your butts, bumped your head somewhere, got your fingers snipped, or tumbled down a steep hill.

However, we shouldn't jinx it like this family is obviously doing. They seemed to be overjoyed to be in the emergency room. It's even more amusing when you sight the dude who appears to be having way too much fun! This is ridiculously funny.

Capturing Every Moment!

We tried looking at this image from so many angles and we still come to the same conclusion; it is wrong on so many levels. First and foremost, why are these folks smiling by the bedside of someone who appears to be in severe condition?

Maybe they knew she'd be fine and thought, "Hey, this would be a fantastic time for a family portrait!" Whatever it was, we're sure it wasn't a great experience for the lady on the stretcher. When she recovers, there will certainly be a lot of explaining to do.

Life in Canada

A few pickaxes and a freaky polar bear appear to be all you need to capture a nice family portrait in Canada. We're not sure if it's the polar bear's creepy grin or the fact that they appear to be inside an ice cave, but the more we stare at it, the stranger it gets.

On a closer look, you'll notice that the father is outfitted like a '40s tycoon, the girl appears to be in pajamas, another kid is with a stuffed polar bear (as if the life-sized one wasn't enough), and the mother simply beams! Weird on so many levels.

An Epic Meltdown

Children can be extremely dramatic and it's even more amplified when they're outside the home. If you take your family on a trip, you certainly have high hopes for creating lasting memories and taking amazing photographs. The stress, weariness, and occasional meltdowns are generally overlooked.

This gem of a vacation photo was taken as a result of these kids' dissatisfaction with what they're experiencing. The parents undoubtedly thought it was a fantastic idea, but they were completely wrong. This isn't a photograph you'd want to keep, but it's a memory nonetheless.

When Nature Decides to Take Course

Elephant riding is a thing in some cultures and these instances are not a rare sight in such places. This happens a lot especially when you're riding a seemingly large animal that’s in heat. In Thailand, it's a known fact that elephants are well cared for, but this shot is just plain ridiculous. Apart from the guys on those elephants holding on for dear life, it's not clear what the others are doing.

As much as we want to believe this photo Is hilarious, we are wondering how the folks in the picture feel about all that's going on, whether it's annoyance or intrigue.

Snoozing in Style

When they're in need of comfort and much-needed rest, some people go to unusual places to get it, especially if they're far away from home. As a result, we have no reason to criticize this person.

We're not sure how he did it, or whether the bus driver is even aware of what's going on, but we commend him all the same. He's so relaxed that he's undressed and even uses a pillow, exactly as he would if he were in his own private apartment. Who says you can't travel in comfort on a limited budget?

Photobombing At It's Best

Traveling exposes us to new experiences and adventures, which is one of its main benefits. This woman looks to have had more wildlife interactions than she planned. It's possible she was too preoccupied with getting a photo with the hairy creature to notice the enormous bird hovering behind her, watching everything.

The wild bird decided it was time to take flight just as the snapshot was being taken. Her priceless expression and grasp on the llama suggest she isn't fond of large birds. Even the Ilama seemed confused as well.

Just a Bit to the Left

Many tourists have attempted to capture the leaning tower of Pisa, but many of them either succeed or fail spectacularly. In fact, you may be as creative as you want with your images because if you get the angles exactly perfect, you can get some really fantastic shots.

These two had the same intention, but the photo did not turn out as they had hoped. They appear to be making a fool of themselves trying to find the perfect angle, yet they might have gotten it if they had taken the photo from somewhere else.
