Nikki Haley – South Carolina, $2.4 Million

Nikki Haley made it into the headlines once again in 2019, but not due to her political movement or interviews! Instead, it was about her buying a $2.4 million house near Kiawah River, North Carolina. The exclusive villa was initially priced at $2.8 million, but thanks to the politician’s negotiation skills, she eventually bought it for $400k cheaper.

Yet even with the original price, the house is worth the money! Besides the complete facilities, the property’s design is also lovely, adopting beach-like vibes while maintaining an elegant Mediterranean style vibe. Nikki indeed has keen eyes when it comes to prime real estate.

Sarah Palin – Arizona, $6,2 Million

As a long-serving politician of the United States, Sarah Palin has owned some of the best properties, one of which was her secluded Arizona residence. Located in the middle of the McDowell mountains range, the generously proportioned estate boasts various luxe facilities, including a private library, where this ex-governor kept her precious books.

Nonetheless, it turned out that Sarah didn’t want to keep this house for too long. Ten years after buying it for $900k, she decided to sell it for a ubiquitous amount: $6.2 million. That’s more than a 600% profit mark up!

Nancy Pelosi - San Francisco, $2.25 Million

Nancy Pelosi purchased this house together with her husband back in 2007 for a little over 2.5 million dollars, a price tag that has more than tripled over the years.

The property, built in the 1930s, consists of two stories and extends over 3000 square feet. What’s more, routine maintenance has seen the house retain its pristine luster, and although little is out there about its interior, the house has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. We are pretty sure Mrs. Pelosi has it spruced up on the inside, and we’ll be the first should she decide to give house tours anytime soon.

Kamala Harris - Brentwood, $5.4 Million

Politician Kamala Harris’s real estate portfolio is pretty impressive, and she owns several prime properties in her home state of Los Angeles. Together with her husband Doug Emhoff, the couple has invested in real estate across LA, and among them is this Brentwood mansion.

Off-market listings state that the house spans some 3500 square feet and places its tag in the millions. After all, Brentwood is an exclusive neighborhood where property rates are much higher than anywhere else in LA. Not much is out there about the house details, but given the high caliber of residents in the neighborhood, we are pretty sure it is an architectural wonder.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez - Washington DC, $3.2 Million

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a force to reckon with. She's fiery and is one of the most famous Congress members who does her best to stand up for her people.

Ocasio-Cortez is currently renting a luxury apartment in what is known as the Navy Yard neighborhood in Washington DC. Available to tenants like her is a rooftop infinity pool and a host of sweet amenities that add a dash of sugar and spice to life! There's no word about how much exactly she pays in rent, but it isn't cheap for sure.

Elizabeth Warren - Massachusetts, $5.4 Million

Living well is the best revenge, as a lady like Elizabeth Warren would know! She grew up poor but assuredly was not ready to let that stop her from making something of herself and giving folks something to talk about.

Warren is not strikingly rich, but she's not doing badly for herself either. She and her husband live in a Victorian house built in 1890, and they paid $447,000 for it in 1995. Their home is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is valued at around $2.4 million, and looks fit to host the highest of royalty!

Ted Cruz – Houston, $7.6 Million

Ted Cruz is always in the newspapers, unsurprisingly, especially since he is one of the most talked-about political figures. Thankfully, he has got an incredible house to blow off the steam of the day! He has an impressive real-estate portfolio, but one of the most interesting buys has been Houston's property, worth a whopping $1.6 million!

When he's not performing his civic duties, the attorney spends his time at his home with his wife Heidi and their two children. Given his wealthy state, we can only imagine how luxurious the house would be!

Barack Obama – Washington D.C, $8.1 Million

One year before Barack Obama finished his presidency, he started to look around for a suitable house, a place where he could spend his retirement with the family properly. This man then ended up falling in love with one of the retro-looking houses in the Kalorama neighborhood and decided to rent the place for a while.

It only took one year of consideration before Mr. Obama bought the place! In 2017, he decided to finalize the purchase for $8.1 million, which is a good deal based on its design and strategic location.

Condoleezza Rice - California, $2.3 Million

Condoleezza Rice originally wanted to become a concert pianist and make music that could be regularly relied on to move and sway audiences! Then fate conspired to transform her into one of the most influential people in the world. She’s currently retired and blessed with enough spare time to play all the compositions she cares for!

For the moment, no one appears to be able to find out where Rice lives and how much she paid for the place. But a while ago, she sold her Californian home for $2.3 million. Just imagine how many pianos that can buy!

Dick Cheney - Maryland, $2.1 Million

Dick Cheney was a former vice president and is reckoned to be perhaps the most influential and richest of every incumbent of the role before and after him. Guy has a ton of money and almost more houses than you could count in a month!

In 2019, Cheney sold a picturesque waterfront retreat of his, sited on 9 acres in Maryland for the rather princely sum of $2.1 million. He also owns properties in both Wyoming and Virginia and could buy dozens more without blinking, or his account manager getting worried!

George W. Bush – Texas, $1.3 Million

This next lovely, 4.000 square meters house has been occupied by George W. Bush and his family for a long time, probably more than 20 years. Even during the presidency, he loved to spend leisure time with the family here, to the extent that people started to call the residence 'The Western White House'!

Naturally, for George to love this place very much, there are many facilities worth mentioning. Besides the lovely design and solar-powered energy-efficient design, the property also offers the beautiful surrounding scenery of the savanna, which indulges the ex-president's new hobby: painting!

Colin Powell - Manhattan, $2.8 Million

Born 80 odd years ago in Harlem, Colin Powell sure has made good and has a name people tend to recognize real quick. He also has a sizable fortune, most of which he made after decades spent in the military serving his country in one capacity or the other.

Powell has a couple of condos in Manhattan and sold one of these for $2.8 million back in 2016. He also has a rather big house in McLean, Virginia, where he lives with his wife and family. We don't know what that house is worth, but we expect the price to be pretty eye-watering!

Jimmy Carter – Georgia, $167K

Contrary to the previous mansion that Jimmy Carter once had during the presidency, he is currently living in a way modest, pleasant ranch house in the middle of the forest near Atlanta. The residence is now valued at $167,000- way cheaper than the average home price in Georgia!

Nonetheless, it doesn’t mean Jimmy doesn’t feel happy with the current condition. This ex-president enjoys spending time in this simple place despite the considerable retirement allowance that he earns monthly. In addition, he once mentioned that being rich isn’t his goal in life. A humble person, indeed!

Al Gore - Tennessee, $2.3 Million

Albert Arnold Gore served as the U.S. vice president from 1993 to 2001, but these days is mostly remembered as an environmentalist who's determined to battle climate change to a stop. Good for him!

Al has a massive mansion in Nashville with 20 rooms and enough bathrooms for a pride of lions to frolic in! He paid $2.3 million in 2002 to buy this house, which sits on over two acres of land. Other places of his include a Californian home purchased in 2010 for $8.9 million, a farmhouse in Tennessee, and a pied-à-terre in San Francisco.

Boris Johnson – London, $6.5 Million

Where else would the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom find a home but at Downing Street? When Boris Johnson assumed office in 2019, he quickly shifted to the secure locality where all the important politicians reside! However, the British leader didn't choose the conventional no. 10 to live in, but the apartment above it, no. 11.

According to the media outlets, he chose that apartment due to more space and rooms. And after watching him give us a tour of his house, we agree with him! His current house features a home office, a cabinet room, a pillar room, and the famous white drawing-room.

Mike Pence – Washington D.C, $7.5 Million

The residence of the President of The United States is a popular building. But did you know where the Vice-President resided? Fret not, we've unraveled this mystery for you! The Number One Observatory Circle is the official residence of Mike Pence.

This mansion was built-in in the 1890s, and the historical touch is evident when you pay close attention to its architecture. The politician had an extensive renovation done to this two-story property. From having a reception hall, open kitchen, a dining room, to many lounging areas, it has everything one would need for a comfortable stay!

Mitt Romney – New Hampshire, Price Undisclosed

Mitt Romney is indeed a multitalented person! Besides his outstanding track records in the political scene, he also has a significant business portfolio. In fact, he has developed several ventures, one of which is the famous investment firm Bain Capital.

With the combination of earnings as a senator and ex-businessperson, Mitt possesses a wide array of investments, including several properties. The most exquisite of them is probably the New Hampshire retreat house. Positioned on the shore of Lake Winnipesaukee, the residence offers beautiful scenery all around, making it a perfect place for him to rest and recharge in his golden years!

Elizabeth Dole – Salisbury, $321K

In 2001, Elizabeth Dole made an interesting decision, as she moved from the exquisite condominium at Watergate complex to her mom's house in Salisbury. Contrary to the other people's move-out reasons, there was actually a political motive for this as Dole then won her seat in the US senate.

The house that she occupied during the service in North Carolina might be cheaper than her previous condo, but it's no less tasteful and enticing! In contrast to her previous dwelling, Elizabeth's Salisbury abode is purely classic in design; the Tudor Revival inspired home is both spacious and homely.

Jane Fonda – Beverly Hills, $13 Million

Jane Fonda didn't spare any expense in furnishing her home, which she bought with her former partner. When the couple decided to split, they decided to sell the massive 7,100 sq. ft. property.

The two must have come up with a significantly damaged plan, considering the house was sold at a loss of $4.46 million! Well, no brownie points for their business skills, but props to them for building an extravagant place. The six-bedroom and seven-bathroom mansion sure make the best of us envious. Whoever the buyer is, they better get used to the surreal ocean and canyon views!

Bill Clinton – Washington D.C, $5.3 Million

For real, Bill Clinton’s house interior mesmerizes us! Besides the garden’s retro scenery, household appliances also embrace the '50s style, which definitely strengthens its archaic yet fascinating ambiance. Yes, once one steps into this castle-like residence, it suddenly takes you back to the past, just like a time machine!

As expected, those unique traits were one of the main reasons why Clinton’s family decided to occupy the house. According to the interview with Architectural Digest the family mentioned that they quickly fell in love after seeing it for the first time and didn’t even think twice before buying the place!

Jack Nicholson – Mulholland Drive, $20.5 Million

Jack Nicholson treats houses like collectible items! Nothing else would explain his shopping spree at Mulholland Drive, where he now owns 4 properties! Having purchased an expensive home of $6.5 million, the Shining actor kept on expanding his land until he became the unofficial king of the area.

Now, Mulholland drive has become a landmark due to the famous actor and director's loyalty to the place. He still resides in the area, and we don't see him shifting anywhere else! We hope that the talented star is thoroughly enjoying his well-deserved downtime!

Robert De Niro – New York, $18.9 Million

Apart from being an exceptional actor, Robert De Niro is also a businessman and a real estate enthusiast! By putting his entrepreneurial instincts and passion into good use, the actor bought land of several acres for just $1.5 million! And here you thought that acting was his only strong suit?

Not only is the star's property enormous, but the neighboring areas of the place are equally jaw-dropping! His massive home includes an indoor gym, a movie theatre, and even a boxing room. The entire value comes just under $19 million!

Bob Barker – Los Angeles, $637K

Having hosted the longest-running daytime show Price is Right, Bob Barker has obviously earned enough money to buy himself a lavish mansion with a serene outdoor pool! The rich tastes of the game show host are evident from the furnishings of his home, which was designed in the spirit of Los Angeles' historical culture.

Built in 1929, the 5000-sq. ft. property features four bedrooms and comes with servant quarters. It perfectly represents the Spanish Colonial revival style! Sadly, Bob decided to part ways with the home due to issues in the neighborhood.

Ron Howard – Connecticut, $27.5 Million

Ron Howard lives in the kind of house that you only see in the 19th century-set British films! Only, it's not haunted, as far as we know. The director's enormous mansion stands on a land of 32-acres, which he has owned for more than twenty years.

The best part about his house is that it has an attached organic vegetable garden, a greenhouse, horse barns, and a riding ring. The artist also has an indoor pool. How this guy manages to get any work done inside such a cool house is beyond us!

Tom Selleck – Los Angeles, $11.8 Million

Ever wondered where New York City Police Commissioner Frank Regan lived? After stealing our hearts in his acclaimed role in Blue Bloods, we couldn't help ourselves from finding out where Tom Selleck spends his time when he is not working. Our detective skills took us to a house in Bay Ridge, which is nothing short of a marvel!

The actor bought the luxurious apartment during his bachelor days, and the interiors scream just that! It has been decorated entirely in Persian and wooden interiors. Tom divides his time here and a ranch in California.

Sidney Poitier – Beverly Hills, Price Undisclosed

The Academy-award winner Sidney Poitier remains hush-hush about his property in Beverly Hills. But that didn't stop the media from snooping around the boundaries of where the actor lives. The acclaimed actor is said to live in an elegant home that consists of luxuries one could ever dream of!

With a unique swimming pool and royal furnishings, the actor left no stone unturned in making his house appear regal in every way. After earning the honorary title of Knight Commander, the lavish property indeed suits his endless list of awards and fame!

Wesley Snipes - New Jersey, $4.125 Million

Wesley Snipes, internationally famous, thanks to his work in the Blade films trilogy, has been in the news for all kinds of reasons. He has loyal fans spread worldwide who have always got his back. As a successful star, along with fame, he has also accumulated some big bucks.

Wesley owned a beautiful-looking house in New Jersey amidst lush and verdant greenery, which he later sold for $4.125 million. We bet it must be a disheartening moment for Snipes to let go of a property he had been staying in for a while - though, with this leading man's bank balance, we're sure finding a suitable replacement was not hard.

Kathie Lee Gifford - Florida, $10.5 Million

The Today Show's host Kathie Lee Gifford has been a pride of various channels and is known to be a woman who has gained immense success in whatever she has done.

As a part of her massive wealth, there was an inclusion of a luxurious real estate located in Florida. Unfortunately, Kathie sold this property for $10.5 million back in 2018, and we wonder if she regrets this decision. Her Florida home was absolutely breathtaking and offered a picturesque view of the ocean from each nook and corner of the house. It must have been quite a tough decision to part ways with a cozy abode like this one.

Phil Collins - Miami Beach, $33 Million

It must be a great feeling to own a house in Miami Beach, isn't it? Well, definitely something we would not know, but the great musician Phil Collins certainly would. He is a proud owner of a piece of prime Miami Beach real estate that cost him around $33 million. Now that is something!

A fun fact for everyone is that this particular house once even belonged to Jennifer Lopez; no wonder the price of this property shot up to so many millions. You are going to find everything in this luxurious home, just name it!

Maggie Smith - Byfleet, $7.7 Million

We all remember Professor McGonagall from the Harry Potter series. That character was beautifully played by the lovely artist Maggie Smith. Let us find out more about this talented actress that her fans may not be aware of.

Owing to earning a fortune from the series, she could easily purchase an expensive and luxurious property in her name. Byfleet Manor is what this estate is known as, and it spans around 6,000-square-foot with gardens and handsomely appointed spacious rooms to offer. Pictures of the revered Dame's stately home totally give us grand country living vibes.

Leonardo DiCaprio - Malibu, $10.95 Million

Leonardo DiCaprio needs no introduction! He is one actor whose talent and dedication speak volumes for him. With back-to-back blockbusters and, of course, the massive cheques in his name helped him purchase a gorgeous property in Malibu. Naturally, it was an expensive place, but the location and amenities did absolute justice to the cost.

Yet, Leo seemed to have wanted way more and offered to list this estate for $10.95 million! Had we been millionaires, we would have never said no to a residence as stunning as this one. We wonder what would be this A-list leading man's next big purchase.

Al Pacino - New York, $3.3 Million

There is just absolutely no comparison when we speak of the legendary Al Pacino! His super successful career made him able to purchase a property facing the Hudson River in New York. Along with a peaceful view, it featured three spacious bedrooms and four very fancy bathrooms.

Probably, he wanted his home to be located in the hustle-bustle of the central city that he sold this home for $3.3 million, less than what Al had initially listed it for. It definitely saddened his fans, but looking at his loaded bank account, he can indeed purchase even better houses wherever he may please.

George Clooney - Lake Como, $7 Million

If you see pictures of George Clooney's palatial residence in Lake Como, you are likely going to confuse it with some seven-star hotel. We all know how wealthy this talented powerhouse of an actor Clooney is, and his home worth $7 million is no less than a dream house.

The lavish estate is tucked away in greenery by the lakeside, and the overall look of his place is super royal. You can even find a large pool and a plethora of gorgeously decorated rooms. What else does one need anyway? We have to commend Clooney for making thoughtful investments into these luxurious assets; definitely, something to learn from him!

Max Baer Jr. - Paradise, Price Undisclosed

After playing Jethro Bodine in The Beverly Hillbillies, Max Baer Jr. established himself to be a prominent name in the industry. The performer managed to pile up a fortune from the hefty paycheques he received, and all thanks to them, he was able to purchase a grand estate in Paradise.

Max has not disclosed much about this house, but we can definitely say; it looks absolutely breathtaking. A residence in Paradise is most certainly no less than the name implies. Baer may have seen ups and downs in his career, but it takes a smart cookie to make such great investments.

Quincy Jones – Laurel Canyon, $1.4 Million

Quincy Jones designed this house back in 1938 with the assistance of an architect who doubled up as his partner Ruth Schneider, and the former couple did a magnificent job while at it. The LA duplex located in the sprawling LA hills is built across two lots and spans over 2,000 square feet.

One part of the house was the designated living space, while the other was reserved for the musical legend's studio. Recently, the abode underwent a significant renovation, with all pointers inkling towards a possible listing. A lucky buyer quietly snapped up the impressive property for a little over one million dollars.

Mark Zuckerberg – Lake Tahoe, $59 Million

When you're one of the richest men in the world, you don't just buy a house. It's not enough! You give your neighbors an offer they can't say no to, like Mark Zuckerberg did, and have acres of space all for yourself.

Zuckerberg's Lake Tahoe estate sits on ten acres of land and features an audacious 15 bedrooms! What's more intriguing is that this house only serves as a holiday home whenever the social media mogul is visiting with his family—astounded much? Wait until you see the other jewels in his prized real estate portfolio!

Dick Van Dyke – Encino, $6.512 Million

At a point in his life, actor Dick Van Dyke called this paradise home. This magnificent Tuscan-style residence is located in Encino, California, and sits on a little over one acre of prime real estate.

The 12000-square-feet house comes with six bedrooms and nine bathrooms, as well as some pretty amazing salient features. The outdoors are punctuated by a spectacular swimming pool, a tennis court, and acres of lush space. Given the prominent names that have lived here, we’re pretty sure it’s an A-lister who snapped it off the market when it was listed for a cool 6.5 million dollars back in 2016.

Donald Sutherland – Palisades Beach, $2.995 Million

In another life, Canadian actor Donald Sutherland would definitely have been an architect. After all, he is the one who designed this idyllic mansion located in Palisades Beach, where he once lived with his family.

The beach property features cathedral ceilings with a mahogany fitted interior as well as gleaming hardwood floors. There was plenty of space for his family, too, with its three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It is no wonder the house has attracted celebrity tenants since Donald vacated the premises, like Neil Jacobson, the Interscope Records executive who went ahead to have it listed for close to three million dollars in 2015.

Hilary Rodham Clinton - Washington DC, $2.85 Million

Former first lady Hilary Rodham Clinton has done rather well for herself. There are enough zeroes in her bank account balance to live anywhere she fancies. Hilary is a woman with big ambitions and determination that we all need to emulate on the double!

The Clintons mainly live in their Chappaqua, New York abode. Other houses of theirs include a dignified residence they paid $2.85 million for, that's within walking distance of the Washington branch of the British Embassy, and another home they purchased for $1.6 million that's right next to their main residence.
