A Simple yet Elaborate Proposal

While several people are in this Google Maps photo, one person stands out. Meet Michael Weiss-Malik, the man with the sign that reads "Proposal 2.0. Marry Me Leslie." Working at Google acquainted him with the team in charge of the map, and it was easy to know when Street View photos would be taken.
There are regular proposals, and then, there are upgrades like this one. After taking the photos with co-workers and standing out, all he had to do was give her the coordinates for her to see his stunt. That's a solid 10 for effort, and we sure hope it resulted in a "yes."
50 Shades of Weird

We bet you didn't see that one coming. Imagine your friend shared their address, and you decide to run a quick check of the house. You're on the street now and just a few meters away when you spot this bizarre arrangement. There are so many questions!
What inspired the outfit? Why a banana, and do horses even eat them? The well-arranged table and pink flamingo statues add to the humor in this one. One thing's clear to you now that your friend has rather strange and exciting neighbors you may look forward to meeting.
Never Come Between a Guy and His Penguin

People think it could be incredibly lonely to go through life without friends. But trust humans to find a way around it. After all, who needs friends when you've got stuffed animals to take on rides? Although penny-farthings were popular in the 19th century, they stopped being a thing by the 1880s.
So it makes you wonder how this fellow was able to get his hands on one. Today seemed like a good day to take his stuffed buddy out. Still, no one can tell if he knew the Google Street View car would be in the neighborhood to capture the moment.
The Ancient Art of TP-ing

In the aftermath of good ol' toilet papering, this is an art that's only as old as the invention of toilet paper. But, from the sheer amount of rolls used to wrap those trees, those behind the act must have really meant business.
If high school movies have taught us anything, a well-thought-out TP-ing is only done to a person who truly deserves it. So who knows, maybe this homeowner is a teacher who takes joy in dishing out detentions. In that case, they'd need a few long hours to clean this mess up.
A Well-executed Jailbreak

Can't a guy stroll down the street after a successful jailbreak without getting captured by satellite? But, of course, if he were wearing jeans and a T-shirt, one would wonder what he was doing walking down a lonely road?
But he's a guy in an orange jumpsuit, so as Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran brilliantly put it, 'Everything Has Changed.' We can all agree that the outfit isn't doing him any favors. So if you're going to plan a jailbreak in broad daylight, the least you could do is have a change of clothes handy!
Santa's Lost the Christmas Spirit

Is that Santa Claus, or just a guy in a bright red suit? The portly physique is missing, so if this is Santa, he's definitely gone on a diet. His outfit is also missing the white fur trim and black belt, so maybe there's been budget cuts at the North Pole.
The only thing this guy's got going for him is the white beard, and in our book, that counts for something. So if this is Santa, he's had a terrible year. First, his sleigh was carted off to be repaired, and now the elves are late in dropping off the toys.
Saving the Day with a Wooden Paddle

This fellow is the bravest of us all. We've been told what to do if we ever encountered a bear. It usually involves standing still, quietly moving away, or making loud noises as we back away.
But this man didn't get the memo, and he's not going to let anything like a giant bear intimidate him on his own property. So, sure, he's yelling aggressively and loudly, but he's not backing away. Instead, he decided to chase the bear away with a wooden paddle. What a tactic. What a guy!
A Ride Comes Before a Fall

We can't tell if this person lost control of the bike or got hit by another vehicle. But seeing as no one is behind, we're guessing the car in front is the culprit. They deserve top marks for throwing out their hands at the last minute. Still, their knees must have gotten bruised.
They say to look for a silver lining in any unpleasant situation. First, this rider is alive―and that's a win any day. Secondly, they've got a photo of the exact moment of getting into an accident on Google Maps. That's something, isn't it?
Stop and Search?

We can't say there's been a police chase because the photo only shows one cop car. But we've got five official-looking persons and a black truck in the background, so maybe there's been a chase.
But a better guess would be that the police officers were called to the crime scene, and they brought the truck along to cart the would-be offenders away to the station. But what we'd really like to know is what these people did to deserve being lined up against the wall and searched. This doesn't look like the offenders were brawling.
Bigfoot or a Trick of the Light?

This would be a random photo of a forest lane if it weren't for that strange-looking figure in the background. Now it's got us wondering if Google's finally found proof that Bigfoot exists.
Looking closely at it, though, we're less inclined to believe it's Bigfoot. It could be a giant man cosplaying a leaf creature―because the forest lends an air of originality. Another possibility would be that the trees caught the light at a weird angle and were cast into a shadow. Whatever it is, though, it's not Bigfoot―unless this is the Northwest...
The Cult of the Pigeon Mask

Every county has a set of unique traditions that would seem really weird to outsiders. So when we see a group of people lined up on the sidewalk wearing pigeon masks, you'll be left guessing what strange custom this is. This photo was taken on a sidewalk in Tokyo. And the masked men and women are likely students of the nearby Musashino Art University.
Interestingly, this isn't their first rodeo as they're well known on the internet and locally as the Japanese Pigeon People. Their impeccable arrangement and timing indicate this must be an elaborate prank on the Google Street View cam. Hey people, mission accomplished!
A New Take on Big Bird

Halloween is a fun time to get creative. Fortunately, it comes at the tail end of October, so you have ten good months to plan your costume. This guy must have spent many a childhood day watching "Sesame Street," and this is his take on the Big Bird character.
There are only so many times you can get dressed as a big yellow bird. So rather than have too many repeat outfits, this guy's decided to switch things up a little. So this year, he's got on a mix of yellow, blue, and green. Next year, he might pick some other colors from the rainbow.
Just Your Regular Car Crash

How does a car slip off the road and end up on the grassy plains at such an angle? That guy watching from the other end must have had that question on his mind. Photos like these with no visible explanation are enough to drive a person crazy.
We're guessing the driver tried to make a turn too early and too fast and moved off the road. But that explanation doesn't make sense of the car's position. Still, the car looks relatively unchanged. We only hope we can say the same about the people who were in it.
An Artistic Display

For ages, people have tried to define art. Most people would agree that a thing must have some aesthetic appeal to be described as artistic. However, it's almost impossible for everyone to agree on what's good enough to elicit aesthetic interest.
Looking at this installation, we're struck by the creativity of whoever made it. Indeed it raises questions like, what inspired this work? Who was in charge of mounting the vehicles? What message were they trying to pass across? Hopefully, the owners of the cars gave their consent. Thanks to Google, this work of art got some well-deserved exposure.
There's Never Too Many Ducks

There are a few theories about this picture. It might be boredom, a dare, or just another person trying to get people interested in his goods by doing something strange and questionable. You probably can't tell if the ducks are real or not.
The dead giveaway has to be their coordination. Unless some mystical ducks listen to commands, this one's undoubtedly a collection of manufactured ducks. Again, we can't tell if this boy is having a good time or is proud of his duck army. However, we can agree that this picture is unexpected and amusing.
Did Peter Parker Save the Day Again?

If you're a Spider-Man fan, the heading of this one is a dead giveaway. Remember the scene from "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" where Peter Parker saves a bus from tilting over? That's the one. Back to reality, though, the occupants of this bus must be grateful for whatever factors helped stop the bus.
Most of us have seen or experienced how slippery snow makes the roads, so it's easy to pick that as what caused the bus to swerve into the guardrails. Interestingly, the original photo was taken by VR specialist Bradford Bohonus in Seattle after the passengers disembarked unhurt.
Inception? Or Photoshop?

We know, we know. You're just as confused as we were. From childhood, we quickly understood gravity's pull on everything. It's why we'll often fall and hurt ourselves as kids. So, how is this car suspended up there? Could it be that a world like we saw in the movie "Inception" is possible?
The answer is pretty straightforward—art! You know it's really good when you can't figure it out instantly. Even when you do, more questions pop up. Located in The Hague, Netherlands, this one was designed by Theo Van Laar. Even more fascinating is that the car's lights are switched on at night.
A Costly Door

Some days just start on a sour note and leave you frustrated. For example, when this person purchased an automatic rolling steel door for his garage, he was looking forward to its convenience. But, sadly, the device's sensor must have malfunctioned and dropped the door while this person was driving out.
Instead of waiting there to wail about the damages, they must have gone to get help to get the car free of the door. It must be frustrating waking up to make ends meet only to be slapped with bills for fixing the door and car.
OSHA Wants a Word

Nobody knows what this guy is using so much wood for, but our best guess would be for firewood. While his stash is pretty impressive, we can't imagine how he's singlehandedly harvesting so much lumber. This man's only tools to get the job done are a pair of briefs and a functional chainsaw.
We can only hope he's doing the work for himself and not for someone else. Because the absence of personal protective equipment is frightening. So much could go wrong in seconds, and OSHA wouldn't hesitate to hand out punishment.
Cows Make a Quick Stop at a Roundabout

If you’re making a list of places you can find cows, you can add a roundabout to the list. Whoever was in charge of them decided to take a break and leave the cows to cater for themselves, and what better spot to keep them than the roundabout grassed area.
Residents here don’t mind as the cars just drive by casually, giving the cows their space. We wonder if the cows tried to explore the area outside the roundabout or remained there because they figured trying to leave would be a bad idea.
Car Decor?

There's so much chaos around this car that it's nothing but mind-boggling. Did someone decide to trash this person's car as revenge for something? Why is there so much crime scene tape around the car? It's almost like they crashed through a crime scene, but the car isn't damaged, so that's unlikely.
As if that wasn't enough, they made sure to show their patriotic side absurdly with U.S. flags on the trunk and hood. If you could explain the tape and flag, you'd be hard-pressed for an explanation for why that cone was added.
Cat/Hat

Was it the cat's idea to sit on its owner's head, or did the pet owner think it was good to improve his look with a hat that breathes and lives? It looks like a real cat to us! Either way, we can't tell if this one's a good idea or not. What we do know is that it's an unusual sight.
The cat seems well-trained to sit comfortably on his head like that, or perhaps it's a thing cats can do. But, hey, cat owners, you might want to try this and see if your cat also has this skill. Who knows? You may just start a circus from there. Perhaps it's a taxidermy special...
One For the Books

When people refer to firefighters as real-life heroes, pictures like this explain why. Their work here is done because whoever was behind the car's wheel has been evacuated. All that's left is getting the streetlight off the road and a replacement to avoid havoc.
Like us, we bet you wonder what happened? Was the driver mad at the streetlight for some weird reason? Were they under the influence? Perhaps, they lost control of the brakes and had no other choice. Thankfully, he's okay, and the Google Street View car was just around the block to capture this.
A Night of Fun Didn't End so Well.

This house may not be as grand as the likes of Edinburgh Castle, but it certainly retains its rustic appeal. Unfortunately, we doubt the place gets visited often, at least before the man in the photos stopped by. He looks exhausted, and we wonder what the empty bottles lying nearby indicate.
What started as a night of laughter and goodhearted jokes transformed into a hangover the following morning. While the owners may be away, the footage reveals an intruder wearing a silver crown. Who knew Google Street View could be so valuable?
Easter Bunny Man

The man in the full-body Easter bunny costume must be really into the festivities. He probably even has Easter eggs stashed away somewhere. It could also be a case where the man has been hired to put on the costume to attract customers.
What is he wearing, though? Is that a dubok—usually worn by martial artists, paired with a purple vest? Another big question is, who is the boy? And why is he posing so awkwardly with Mr. Easter Bunny? Even the man pushing the cart looks like he is wondering the same thing.
Faith in Humanity Lost?
If you haven't noticed, Google blurs out the faces of people captured to protect their privacy. So we can't tell if the girl on the right had anything to do with the other girl on the floor in this puzzling photo. As much as her face has been blurred out, we can still make out a smile.
We hope the girl on the floor wasn't bruised from the fall. If she was, she'd better ice the bruise for at least ten minutes. The exciting things about these photos are their spontaneity and originality. However, if you came here searching for heartwarming images, this one is not it.
Just Another Mutt Cuts Van

If you've seen the 1994 movie "Dumb and Dumber," then you're familiar with this iconic van. Named the Mutt Cutts van, it was a selling point for a dog-grooming business. It's been decades since the film aired, and the original van is reportedly in a Missouri museum.
However, that's not stopped fans and others from borrowing the idea. This police officer is bewildered by the vehicle. But, it looks like all that time and money spent on modifications were worth it eventually. On the other hand, the driver could be receiving instructions to pull over.
Who's There?

There has to be a clothing store around from the look of things, and they must have recently upgraded their mannequins. One of the distinct features mannequins possess is how expressive they can be, and these ones don't disappoint.
For example, the white-colored one looks like it's rummaging through the waste for anything of value. And look, there's one with its hands up in the air like it's about to be arrested. The eagle-eyed person who spotted this picture on Google Street View revealed this was a street in Chile. We wouldn't be surprised if locals passing through here at night mistook the figures for actual people.
The Tin Man Trio

It's been over a century since Lyman Baum made waves with his novel "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz." Yet, with subsequent works inspired by that book, one character features consistently: the "Tin Man." While Generation Z may be less familiar with the character, others know him too well.
We can't tell if it's Halloween yet or if there's a Comic-Con event around the corner. But, we know that this trio is rocking their shiny outfits with all the pride in the world. We love how they add life to an otherwise drab picture.
Scientists? Golfers? Boxers? Who Knows?

An oil facility, a firefighting mission, a laboratory? They all have one thing in common: protective equipment like a hazmat suit. So, when the Google drone swept by for a picture of this area, adults in hazmat suits were the last thing anyone expected.
The background suggests this is a golf course. And while the sport is entertaining, these adults haven't dressed appropriately. For example, how do they even swing in the suit? So while we're wrapping our heads around their fashion choices, they take things up a notch with what appears to be preparations for a fistfight.
Busted!

Every day, we're faced with situations where we're thankful to the Police for being effective. However, that's as long as you're law-abiding anyway. For these three men, they must have broken the law in some way to be getting a shakedown in broad daylight.
If you ever thought of renting a place here, this picture can be one of two things. It could either spell a high crime rate or make you feel safe, seeing as the police act swiftly. While that's up to you to decide, one thing's for sure. The fellow on the number 10 Barcelona jersey isn't doing Lionel Messi proud.
The Pom Pom Girls in Traffic

This is one thing you've probably never seen before. A group of cheerleaders who thought the best place to practice their routine was in the middle of traffic. On a lighter note, watching an acrobatic performance is a fun way to while away time if you're stuck in traffic.
Whatever motivated this public display, we hope they didn't pull off extreme stunts. The tarmac is not a friendly place to land on from that height, so it's hard not to worry about the girl on top. But risks aside, you've got to agree this is an impressive move, albeit dangerous.
How the Magic Happens

If you've been wondering how Google Street View gets its pictures, here's the answer. With these cute little things: Street View autos fitted with unique cameras. Those modified photographic equipment on the vehicle's roof capture footage as they drive around public streets.
Google's got hundreds of these bad boys all across the globe. So don't be surprised if you come across a photo or two from your little cul-de-sac. These two fellows in black are probably here to inspect the vehicles before rolling them out. A Google Street View photo of 'Google-mobiles'—iconic!
He's Got the Mowing Crazies

The other time, we saw a couple of lawnmowers hanging out on the lawn, with overgrown bushes in the back. And this picture right here maybe explains why the homeowners on that street decided against mowing.
This could happen when you try to mow the grass in that neighborhood―a meltdown. But you've got to appreciate this guy's dedication to the job. He might be going out of his mind, but he's still got his hand on the mower. So, go crazy, but get the job done. Now that's a motto we can get behind.
The Trikes Are Taking Over

No one does it quite like Google. They found out that not everyone enjoyed having the street view cars driving around taking photos of their business. So they decided to opt for a lower-profile form of transport. This tricycle is as low profile as they come.
The Google Street View tricycle has a lot more going for it. It can get into the nooks and crannies that cars can't reach. We undoubtedly know Google could do with more accessibility to achieve its goals. Innovation and spending power are on full display with this one.
Bojack Horseman as He Lives and Breathes

We've already seen a group of people with pigeon heads, which pretty much lets us know that wearing animal heads is a thing for some people. Even when it's not Halloween or a festival. The guy in the green sweater has apparently watched one too many episodes of "Bojack Horseman."
Who are we to judge if this outfit helps him feel a little closer to his favorite character? We'd like to know whether the town folk would be just as willing to accept his weirdness. Or if they've already formed a committee to address some concerns about the purple sweater guy.
Gumby Takes a Beating

Gumby was a popular character from the eponymous animated show. So, from the 50s to the late 80s, he was pretty popular among children and adults alike. Basically, with anyone who grew up watching the show.
Now we can't say when this picture was taken, so it's hard to tell whether these young boys are familiar with Gumby or not. But it does look like there's no love lost between them and the green clay animation figure. But Gumby doesn't seem to mind. If anything, he must be excited to have caught the kids' attention.
Lawnmower on Display

This looks like a small village in the middle of nowhere. The perfect setting for those thriller movies where the big-shot detective gets burnt out and returns to his hometown. Only to realize that there's some crime-fighting to be done.
However, the only crime that seems to be committed here is the blatant display of lawnmowers on the sidewalk. Looking at the overgrown lawn, it's a wonder they've even got the mowers out if they're not going to use them. Still, if the overgrown bushes don't bother these men, who are we to complain?
A Dedicated "Stig"

If you follow the British show "Top Gear," this costume should ring a bell. Since the "Stig" was introduced to viewers in 2002, it's played its role in keeping fans hooked. After all, followers of the show keep trying to figure out who's behind the outfit, and can you really blame them?
While we're used to seeing the "Stig" on the racing tracks, this looks like his day off. Keeping that anonymity protected is top-priority for the man in the suit. Even on a day spent by a lakeside, you can find him in his all-white ensemble.
Dry Kayaking

This is one other picture that could drive you crazy as you attempt to figure out what's happening. So it's two guys with kayaks parked in the middle of the road. And are those construction hats on their heads? Let's just say there's too much happening and too few clues available to solve the mystery.
It's a tarred road with trees all around. So there's little chance of finding a water body anywhere close. But maybe this is all a part of their grand plan. After all, why kayak like a regular human when you can do it on the grass? In the middle of the road? On a sunny day!
Hanging Out

There are many ways to get comfortable when you're away from home. But, yes, bus benches can be somewhat hard and uncomfortable. And even the seating areas at the park are not cozy.
But when you're in the comfort of your own home, you've got lots of options to guarantee your utmost comfort. If the sofas in your living room are lumpy, there's always your bed. So with all these options, we can't understand why this person thought it best to sit with their legs hanging out the window. This one redefines the term "hanging out" in a unique way. The legs look a little out of proportion to the window, so perhaps it's a large mannequin.
Let the Kids Have Their Fun!

Grown-ups have all the fun, don't they? Kids get told what to do all the time. What clothes to wear out in public―No, Tyler, you can't wear your Spidey suit to school again!―what foods to eat, even though veggies can be bland, and when to get ready for bed.
For these kids, they have gone along with it for too long. But not anymore! If it isn't clear, these little ones are staging a revolt. They've got the manpower, and they've got a prop weapon, and they won't back down until dad lets them spend one more hour at the park today!
Not Your Typical Neighborhood Watchman

Gone are the days when neighborhood watchmen rode around in proper cars with a baton in hand and a whistle in another. Now, they've caught up with changing times and realized that no self-respecting burglar would be intimidated by a guy in a uniform. "What's he gonna do? Arrest me? Ha!"
But people are still afraid of the supernatural, and nothing is scarier than a guy in a skeleton costume, riding around the neighborhood in a golf cart. So you don't want to mess with him, and you definitely don't want to be caught breaking into any houses in this neighborhood.
How to Get Your Girl Back

Jimmy has been having a hard time. His girlfriend broke up with him again. Although everyone is used to their on-now, off-again relationship, Jimmy can't help feeling like he's all out of chances. Unfortunately, Samantha won't come back to him unless he gives her a reason.
So Jimmy came up with the brilliant idea of making his ex jealous. He could have gone with a human girl, but that would send the wrong picture, wouldn't it? So a doll would be the perfect substitute. So when Samantha decides to forgive him, he can swear that he wasn't unfaithful, and they can laugh over the plan.
Don’t You Wish Your Dog Was Snug like Mine?

Why have a pet if you're not going to make them feel like the center of your world? This guy could have gone on a walk with the dog on a leash like any random Joe. But he knows a thing or two about treating his dog like royalty.
The dog is excited to be riding in his shiny new carriage. It comes in red and black, two of his favorite colors. It's also cushioned pretty well, so he's as snug as a baby there. To top it all off, the other dogs in the neighborhood all wish they could be half as lucky as him.
