Céline Dion

There would be hardly many people who haven't listened to Céline Dion's "Titanic" hit "My Heart Will Go On" or her "Stuart Little 2" soundtrack "I'm Alive." She has long been known to produce some powerful vocals behind the scenes as well as in concerts.

The international superstar is a French-Canadian born in Montreal in Quebec, Canada. She has been honored with multiple titles, and her list of award wins is phenomenal as well. Music was deeply ingrained into the lifestyle of the Dion family well before Céline was born. However, her career took a different trajectory after she first saw Michael Jackson performing live.

Jim Carrey

One of the greatest actors ever to be born in Canada is the hero from the film "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" namely Jim Carrey. The superstar comedian has performed a diverse range of different arts in his career, including starring in stand-up shows, mimicry, and much more.

Hailing from Toronto in Ontario, Canada, Carrey had begun making impressions and different faces before his mirror at a very young age. He spent most of his early life in the district of Scarborough, where he attended a local school. Life was tough back then, and Carrey and his brother even did blue-collar jobs before his eventual recognition as an artist.

Pamela Anderson

Pamela Anderson was born and raised in British Columbia, Canada. Before moving to Vancouver, she attended a local school and started working there as a fitness instructor. It was in this city that her career took off. She was featured on a local football game jumbotron, wearing a certain beer company's t-shirt.

Her then-boyfriend took a few photos of her and had them circulated for publicity, and soon she started to get recognition for modeling. According to a 2005 article from the Casino City Times website, Anderson worked for Playboy magazine for over 22 years, during which time she appeared on a record number of covers.

Wayne Gretzky

The story of Wayne Gretzky is an inspiring one. The legend started playing hockey in his backyard in Brantford with his little sister as early as the age of two. By the time he was a bit older, his father, Walter Gretzky, was teaching him, his siblings, and a few other friends how to play ice hockey.

Who'd have known the little enthusiast would grow up to be the leading point scorer and assist the producer in the history of the National Hockey League? While he made his debut with the Edmonton Oilers, he has his fair share of games in the international circuit as well.

Elisha Cuthbert

The star of films such as the rom-com "The Girl Next Door" and the horror film "House of Wax," Elisha Cuthbert is a beloved superstar from Calgary in Canada. She moved to Los Angeles in the United States at the tender age of 17 after graduating high school with the dream of becoming an actress.

Since then, Cuthbert has appeared in dozens of films and TV shows aside from a few music videos, including that of the famous song "She Will Be Loved" by Maroon 5. Even though she'd lived in America for most of her career, she returned to Canada to marry NHL player Dion Phaneuf in 2013.

Keanu Reeves

Keanu Reeves is as good a person as he is an actor. People have vouched for his sweet-hearted character over and over again, proving he's a true Canadian stereotype. Even those who haven't watched his film "The Matrix" have probably watched a clip of his iconic bullet dodge from that movie.

Even though the star of the film "The Devil's Advocate" was born in Lebanon, he's lived most of his childhood in Canada and holds citizenship by naturalization. He moved to the United States at about 17 and started his early work in a couple of youth programs on Nickelodeon.

Carey Price

Coming from a legacy of goaltending, Carey Price also became one following his father's career. He first debuted in the NHL team Montreal Canadiens even though he was himself from Vancouver, British Columbia. He's been called a great player by many sources, including EA Sports.

Price's success can be seen with an Olympic Gold and being titled the Best Goaltender at the Sochi Olympics in 2014. Besides that, he was also on the winning team of the World Hockey Championship in 2016. But that's not all that he's limited to. His list of awards and honors is pretty long and diverse.

Evangeline Lilly

Evangeline Lilly is a Canadian actress who is a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where she plays Wasp. In only 20+ acting credits, she's already managed to bag seven award wins aside from 45 nominations, which includes a bunch for her acting in the 2004 TV series "Lost."

Her first introduction to the media industry was through the Ford Modelling Agency, which landed her a few roles here and there. But it wasn't until 2004 that Lilly got her big breakthrough. The parts that followed were also noteworthy, including her supporting ones in the 2008 Oscar-winning film "The Hurt Locker" and "The Hobbit" film series.

Clara Hughes

Clara Hughes hails from Winnipeg in Manitoba and masters both cycling as well as speed skating. She made ripples across Canada when she won two bronze medals in the 1996 Olympic games in the United States. But that was only the beginning, as the event led to a trail of awards coming into Canada.

Her latest wins were two gold medals for cycling at the Pan American Championship. As far as her speed skating is concerned, Hughes won gold at the 2004 World Single Distance Championship as well as the 2006 Olympics. That is, of course, apart from all her silvers and bronzes.

Seth Rogen

Seth Rogen and his partner in many movies, James Franco, are almost writing the new direction of comedy films for the past decade. He's been in hits such as "This is the End," "Superbad," and the animated "Sausage Party," which are pulling forth a unique cult of comedy goers.

That said, very few people know that this new superstar hails from the city of Vancouver. After winning a local comedy contest as a teenager, he was sure he wanted to pursue comedy as a career. In order to support his ambitions, Rogen's household soon moved to Los Angeles, where he started to support his family at a young age.

Driving masses into concerts all around the world, Justin Bieber became famous with his debut studio album "My World 2.0" when he was only 16. Born in London, he was primarily brought up in Stratford in Ontario with a single mother who raised him and his siblings despite limited means.

Ryan Reynolds

A pleasantly surprising addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in this decade was Ryan Reynolds, who was given the character of the comedic superhero Deadpool. So far, his character has had two dedicated films. The first even won him a Saturn Award for Best Actor.

But all that was pretty late down his career. Reynolds had quite a long-struggling period before and after he had moved to the United States from Vancouver, British Columbia. Post his child-acting for Nickelodeon, he received supporting and cameo roles in films and TV series, but nothing significant came through until his portrayal of Deadpool in 2015.

Dwayne Johnson

Dwayne, "The Rock" Johnson, has Samoan ancestry while predominantly living in the United States. However, not even his fans may know that he received Canadian citizenship in 2009 owing to his father's birth in Nova Scotia. But that isn't it, and he was even signed to Calgary's football team at one point.

After dropping from the football league, he debuted in wrestling that same year. He rose to stardom in the mere blink of an eye, and that changed his life. In 2000, The Rock hosted Saturday Night Live, and the rave reviews from that episode had him receiving offers from Hollywood soon after.

This album non only boosted to the top of the charts but also sold 33 million copies globally, making Morissette a commercial success. Morissette reportedly resides in California, United States, with her husband Mario Treadway and three children.

Ryan Gosling

Ryan Gosling was raised in Ontario, Canada, and was homeschooled. He said that part of his life gave him a sense of autonomy, which significantly contributed to his success. At only 12 years of age, he auditioned for Disney Channel in Montreal and got a two-year contract in "The Mickey Mouse Club," and moved to Florida for the role. One minor project after another finally led Gosling to his international breakthrough, which was the 2004 film "The Notebook."
