Linda Gray - Age 80

Linda Gray is an actress, a former model, a producer, and a director, active in showbiz since 1963. She is undoubtedly most famous for her role as Sue Ellen Ewing, from Dallas, a top-rated TV series aired from 1978 to 1989. The role got Gray nominated for a Primetime Emmy and got her two Golden Globes.

She reprised the role in the 2017 revival of the show. Gray was also in Star of Jaipur, Oscar, The Bold and the Beautiful, and many more. Her latest roles were in Grand-Daddy Day Care and Intuitions, both in 2019.

Ann-Margret - Age 79

Ann-Margaret was born in 1941, in Stockholm, Sweden, which many people didn't know. Her full name is Ann-Margaret Olsson. She stepped on the screen in the early '60s, with roles in Bye Bye Birdie, Viva Las Vegas, Cincinnati Kid, and many more. Appearing alongside such stars as the now-late Elvis Presley at the start of her career was pivotal for Olsson's success.

She later earned two nominations for Oscar, for toles in Tommy and Carnal Knowledge, proving her talent and winning five Golden Globes. Olsson is also famous for Grumpy Old Men, Made in Paris, Criminal Affair, and others. In recent years, she was seen on Happy! and The Kominsky Method TV shows.

Loni Anderson - Age 75

Loni Anderson is a famous actress, with over six decades in the scene. She's won three Golden Globes and two Emmys for her role in WKRP in Cincinnati, where she played Jennifer Marlowe. This probably remains her most praised and famous work to this day, but Anderson has had other notable performances.

She was in The Love Boat, Partners in Crime, Easy Street, The New WKRP in Cincinnati, Nurses, So Notorious, Baby Daddy, and many more. She is currently a cast regular on My Sister Is So Gay TV show, from 2016. Anderson is happily married to Bob Flick, her fourth husband, and she has two kids.

Victoria Principal was born in 1950. She is a well-known actress whose career began in the '70s. As far as acting is concerned, she is in retirement since 2001. However, she is an entrepreneur and a producer still active on those two fronts.

Sixty years have passed since the British singer/actress Helen Shapiro recorded her chart-topper "You Don't Know." She was just 14 at the time, but she connected with listeners all over the UK. She tried her luck as an actress later and has most notably appeared in the 1986 TV series Albion Market.

Still active at the age of 74, Shapiro never stopped performing live, except for a 2002 hiatus. In 2021, Far Out magazine published an article about "From Me To You," the song that confirmed the popularity of The Beatles in the early '60s. Reportedly, the iconic tune was initially composed for Shapiro.

Linda Hunt - Age 76

After graduating from the Goodman School of Drama, DePaul University, New Jersey native Lydia Susanna "Linda" Hunt made her television debut in a 1978 awards ceremony. This was shortly followed by her first big-screen appearance in 1908's Popeye.

Hunt is an acting veteran, with over 40 years of theatrical and film experience under her belt, in notable productions like Pocahontas, The Year of Living Dangerously, Dune, and Kindergarten Cop. Despite her versatile performances on stage and voice-over work, Hunt is, perhaps, best known for her portrayal of Hetty Lange, an operations manager in NCIS: Los Angeles. The television show returns in 2012 for its 12th season on the CBS Paramount+ platform.

Paul Hogan - Age 81

Paul Hogan became a legend when he was cast as Crocodile Dundee in the eponymous movie that came out in 1986. Of course, he later reprised the role several times and even married his co-star, Linda Kozlowski, whom he met on set. The two were married from 1990 to 2014.

Hogan is an Australian actor who delved into the arts in the early '70s. He initially got noticed after appearing on the New Faces talent show, where he ridiculed the judges as opposed to them ridiculing the contestants frequently. This got a positive response from the audience and the judges alike. Hogan reprised his most famous role again in 2020, in The Very Excellent Mr. Dundee.

George Hamilton - Age 81

The legendary George Hamilton is easily recognized by generations of audiences, as his prominent roles occurred from the '60s to as recently as 2019. Some of his first performances were in Home from the Hill, By Love Possessed, Light in the Piazza, Your Cheatin' Heart, and more.

He played Zorro in the sequel to The Mark of Zorro, inheriting the role from The late Tyrone Power. In recent years, Hamilton has had a recurring role on the American Housewife TV show, where he plays Spencer Blitz, and he will appear in the upcoming movie All Terrain.

Cindy Williams - Age 73

Cindy Williams needs little introduction, especially to the fans of the Laverne & Shirley sitcom that aired between 1976 and 1982. Williams' career began with roles in national commercials, and she was seen in ads for Forster Grant and TWA. Christopher Walken is one of the most famous actors in cinema's history, with a career spanning almost seven decades. He was in countless cult favorites, like The Deer Hunter, The Dogs of War, A View to a Kill, Batman Returns, Pulp Fiction, Sleepy Hollow, Hairspray, and many more.

Marla Gibbs was born in 1931. She is an actress, singer, comedian, writer, and even a producer. Her first appearances on the screen were in the early '70s, in Black Belt Jones, Sweet Jesus, and Preacher Man, but she gained prominence in The Jeffersons, a top-rated comedy show on CBS aired from 1975 to 1985.

After that, Gibbs was in 227, where she stayed until 1990. She was the voice of the Duchess in 101 Dalmatians: The Series and was in The Hughleys, Passions, The First Family, and more. In recent years, Gibbs was in episodes of One Day at a Time and The Last O.G., both in 2020.

Tony Goldwyn - Age 60

He was born in Los Angeles in 1960. Now that Tony Goldwyn is in his 60s, he gets to enjoy an $8-million net worth earned through his enviable career as an actor. He started acting professionally in the mid-80s, eventually making his way to films like Ghost of 1990.

It is the first-ever comedy album that was #1 on the Billboard, and it won the Grammy too. To this day, Newhart's most famous roles are in Newhart, ER, Elf, and The Big Bang Theory. He currently stars on Young Sheldon.

Billy Dee Williams - Age 83

Billy Dee Williams is an actor well-known to Star Wars fans, as he was in several movies throughout the franchise, most recently in 2019's The Rise of Skywalker. It was a big comeback since it is probably the longest time between two character portrayals on camera by a single actor since the latest before that was in 1983.

Williams started honing his craft on Broadway and debuted in film in The Last Angry Man, in 1959. He won an Emmy for Brian's Song, and he now has a star on the  Hollywood Walk of Fame. Williams was also a participant on the Dancing with the Stars reality show and was most recently heard as Lando Calrissian's voice in The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special.

Bolo Yeung - Age 74

Bolo Yeung rose to prominence when he was cast in Enter the Dragon, opposite the legendary late Bruce Lee. He had a supporting role, but a noticeable one for sure, and he did get to showcase his bodybuilding prowess. Yeung was a competitive bodybuilder and a martial artist, which prompted his movie career.

However, he really sealed himself as the bad guy when he was the main villain in Bloodsport, opposite Jean-Claude Van Damme. Such roles dominated Yeung's career, but he has slowed down a bit since the late '90s.

Jane Powell - Age 91

Jane Powell is a famous dancer, singer, and actress. She was active on the screen between 1944 and 2004, for 60 years. Powell started with dancing and singing while still a kid and was noticed when she was participating in a talent competition in Hollywood.

MGM, the famous production house from America, soon signed her. Powell is known for such movies as A Date with Judy, Royal Wedding, Luxury Liner, and many more. She was also on Growing pains and The Red Skelton Hour TV shows. Her last on-screen appearance was in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in 2002.

Dianne Wiest - Age 74

Having bagged a couple of Oscars, with her half a century-long acting career, Dianne Wiest’s name is hardly forgotten, even though she’s no longer acting with the same frequency. Wiest was born in 1948 in Tennessee. She’s known for movies like Footloose, Hannah and Her Sisters, and even Edward Scissorhands.

Nowadays, Wiest gets to enjoy a less busy and quieter life. Regardless, in 2020 she still played in two films, Let Them Talk and I Care A Lot. She’s also adopted two daughters, Lily and Emily, despite her never having gotten married.

Bill Cobbs - Age 86

Bill Cobbs rose to fame in the '70s and the '80s, with roles in The Hitter and The Brother From Another Planet. He is an easily recognized actor by multiple generations. He has numerous supporting roles in famous movies and guest appearances in popular TV shows in his portfolio of the past six decades.

Some of Cobbs' most notable roles were in The Slap Maxwell Story, Homeroom, I'll Fly Away, The Gregory Hines Show, JAG, Greenleaf, and others. Recently he was a regular on the Dino Dana TV series from 2017 to 2019, and in 2020, he reprised that role in Dino Dana: The Movie.

 

Max Baer Jr. - Age 83

Max Baer Jr. has a reputation as a highly versatile actor from the golden age of Hollywood. He was born in Oakland, CA, in 1937 and was active as an actor from 1949 to 1991. Baer Jr. is praised the most for roles in The Beverly Hillbillies, Macon County Line, The Wild McCullochs, Ode to Billy Joe, and others.

Baer Jr.'s versatility prompted him into directorial and production waters early in his career. He produced and wrote Macon County Line, his debut in this field, in 1974, and has worked behind the camera on several more projects. His last role was in an episode of Murder, She Wrote in 1991.

Loretta Lynn - Age 88

Virtually any country music fan has either heard Loretta Lynn's songs or owns a complete discography. She is one of the most popular stars of the genre, with over six decades of creating music, high commercial success, and numerous awards. Songs like You Ain't Woman Enough (To Take My Man) and Coal Miner's Daughter are only a few to mention.

Lynn has 49 studio albums so far, along with 36 compilations, and her songs are also frequently heard in movies. After touring for nearly 50 years, Lynn had to stop in 2017 after suffering a stroke. She also broke her hip a year later.

Lee Meriwether - Age 85

Lee Meriwether first rose to fame as a model after winning the Miss America 1955 pageant. By the end of the '50s, her acting debut came in 4D Man, and her movie career had begun. Superhero aficionados may know that Meriwether is the second actress to play the character of Catwoman, when she was on Batman: The Movie.

She was also on Batman TV series, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Mission: Impossible TV series, Family Affair, Barnaby Jones, All My Children, and many more. In recent years, Meriwether is as active as ever, appearing in Love & DEbt in 2019 most recently.

Barbara Mandrell - 70

Barbara Mandrell is another country music star on our list, who was active from 1959 to 2000. She was born in 1948, in Texas, and besides music and singing, she was also a rather successful actress. In fact, TV audiences may primarily remember her for Barbara Mandrell and the Mandrell Sisters variety TV show, which has helped her music career a lot, according to many.

As an actress, Mandrell was in Sunset Beach, Touched by an Angel, and many more. As a singer, she has recorded 25 studio albums. As mentioned, since 2000, she is in retirement from both mediums, and she now lives with her husband Ken Dundey, whom she married in 1967.

Anthony Hopkins - Age 83

Undoubtedly one of the greatest actors in the history of the seventh art is Sir Philip Anthony Hopkins. He is from Wales and is related to William Butler Yeats, the late famous Irish poet. Hopkins was born in 1937, and his career began in 1960.

He achieved recognition already in the '60s for his role in The Lion in Winter and continued his success in the decades to come. We best know him for The Silence of the Lambs, which won him an Oscar, The Elephant Man, Bram Stoker's Dracula (from 1992), and he also played Odin in several of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies.

Tippi Hedren - Age 91

Tippi Hedren was already on the covers of Glamour and Life before the late Alfred Hitchcock, the famous filmmaker, discovered her and cast her in Marnie and The Birds. Hedren won a Golden Globe for the latter. Roles in Satan's Harvest, Tiger by the Tail, and Chaplin's A Countess from Hong Kong followed.

Hedren was also in an episode of Alfred Hitchcock Presents, was a regular on The Bold and the Beautiful, and many more. In the new Millenium, Hedren was seen in Fashion House, Return to Babylon, and most recently in The Ghost and the Whale in 2017.

Morgan Freeman - Age 83

Morgan Freeman is a legendary actor, known all over the world for his many performances. He has an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and a Screen Actors Guild Award in his portfolio. Freeman was born in 1937, in Tennessee, and he started his career in 1964.

In the beginning, Freeman was more focused on TV and stage work, appearing in Shakesperean productions of Coriolanus, Julius Caesar, and the likes. His Hollywood breakthrough came with a role in Glory. Today, Freeman is best known for The Shawshank Redemption, Se7en, Batman Begins (and two sequels), The Bucket List, and his most recent role was in The Comeback Trail, in 2020.

Arlene Golonka - Age 85

Arlene Golonka was born in 1936. She hails from Chicago, Illinois, and it is there that her education in acting began in Goodman Theatre, among other groups. A little while later, she went to New York City to study under Uta Hagen, Stanford Meisner, and Lee Strasberg, all legendary names in the arts.

After appearing in many theater productions, Golonka moved to Los Angeles, and TV roles soon followed. She was in Get Smart, Car 54, Where Are You?, I Spy, and many more. Golonka was also in Hang 'Em High, The In-Laws, That Girl, and others, while her last appearance was in The King of Queens in 2005, after which she retired and now teaches acting.

Tony Danza - Age 69

Tony Danza is recognized by many TV and movie fans of the '80s and '90s. Some of his most famous roles were in Taxi, a TV show that ran from 1978 to 1983, and on Who's the Boss? a show that aired from 1984 to 1992. Both roles got Danza nominated for Golden Globes multiple times.

Tony was initially a pro boxer, with a solid 9-3 score. While boxing in a gymnasium, he was discovered and, soon after, got the role on Taxi. Audiences today know him also for Don Jon, Angels in the Outfield, Aftermath, Crash, and many more. His most recent role was in The Good Cop TV show in 2018.

Margaret Colin - Age 62

Margaret Colin is a well-known actress, mostly praised for her role in As The World Turns, where she played Margo Hughes, and also for Gossip Girl, where she played Eleanor Waldorf-Rose. Colin was born in 1958, and her career began in 1976.

She got a role in The Edge of Night soap opera, which kicked off her career that year. Today, she is recognized for such movies as Independence Day, Unfaithful, Three Men and a Baby, and more. She was also a regular on Veep, Shades of Blue, and was seen in Virtue in 2020.

Bruce Springsteen - Age 71

As a teenager, Bruce Springsteen was inspired by The Beatles and purchased his first guitar. Springsteen came under the international spotlight in 1975 after releasing his third studio album, Born to Run.

In 2020, he released the 20th album, Letter to You, which topped charts in many countries. It looks like he has no plan to retire or even slow down, despite turning 71 years old in September 2020. Springsteen's worth with the E Street Band continues, contributing to his annual income of $80 million, give or take.

José Mayer - Age 71

José Mayer was born in 1949, in Brazil, and it is through Brazilian television that he gained his initial recognition. He appeared in telenovelas like Carga Pasada and movies like Banditos da Falange, Perfume de Gardenia, O Pagador de Promessas, and more.

His international fame comes through telenovelas popular in many different countries, like Historia de Amor (The History of Love), A Favorita (The Favorite), Mulheres Apaixonadas (Women in Love), Laços de Familia (Family Ties), and others. Mayer's most recent role was in A Lei do Amor (Wounded Past) TV show in 2017.

Elinor Donahue - Age 83

Elinore Donahue gained fame for playing Betty Anderson, the eldest daughter in the 1950s sitcom Father Knows Best. She was signed to ABC, and as such, also had several guest roles in a few of the network’s other sitcoms, including the anthology series Crossroads and The Ray Bolger Show.

She had guest roles on shows like The Odd Couple and Dennis The Menace in the ‘60s and ‘70s. She eventually landed a big three-season deal with the Andy Griffiths show as Ellie Walker. But she worked just 12 episodes before asking to have her contract cut short. Donahue retired in 2011 to spend time with Lou Genevrino, her husband.

Jon Voight - Age 82

Jon Voight's performance in Midnight Cowboy, in 1969, has catapulted him to fame. He won an Oscar for the performance and has appeared in many Hollywood A-list movies since then. In the '70s, Voight was in Deliverance, The Champ, and Coming Home, and won another Oscar for the latter.

His other praised roles were in Ali, Uprising, Pearl Harbor, and many more. In recent years, he is a regular on Ray Donovan TV show (2013–2020), and he was in JL Family Ranch 2. Voight father to Angelina Jolie and James Haven, both prominent actors.

Gene Hackman - Age 91

Gene Hackman is a two-time Academy Award-winning actor, whose career lasted from 1956 to 2004. He won one Oscar for his role n The French Connection and another for Unforgiven. Heckman was also nominated three more times for roles in Bonnie and Clyde, I Never Sang for My Father, and Mississippi Burning.

Although Heckman did retire in 2004, after a role in Welcome to Mooseport, he did briefly come back to narrate two TV documentary movies in 2016 and 2017. He's turned to a career as a novelist and has published several books, some as a co-author, and two as a solo writer titled Payback at Morning Peak and Pursuit.

Gloria Estefan - Age 63

Cuban-American Gloria Estefan is a Latin musician who emigrated to the U.S. as a child when her family fled from her home country of Cuba. After meeting keyboardist and future husband Emilio Estefan, she joined his band Miami Sound Machine as the lead singer.

The band went on to produce top 10 hits during the 1980s and 1990s. Estefan and her husband also produced the Broadway musical, On Your Feet! featuring songs from their own band. The two had their wedding in September 1978 and have two children together. In 2021, Estefan is set to make a guest appearance in Cuéntame, a Spanish prime-time rom-com television series.

Katharine Ross - Age 81

Katherine Ross is a world-famous actress known for her stage, TV, and big-screen work. She was born in 1940 in Los Angeles, California, and started her career in 1962. Ross's debut movie role was in Shenandoah in 1965, and she subsequently had roles in Mister Buddwind and The Singing Nun, all of which gained her prominence.

Ross was in The Graduate in 1967 and has earned critical acclaim. She is famous for roles in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Stepford Wives, Donnie Darko, and many more. The most recent movie role in her portfolio was in 2019, in a movie titled Attachments.

Tommy Lee Jones - Age 74

Tommy Lee Jones has a five-decade-long career as an actor, with many praised performances and an Oscar Award under his belt. He was born in Texas in 1946 and rose to prominence in the '70s and the '80s on Broadway at first, then in movies like Jackson County Jail, Rolling Thunder, The Betsy, and others.

He is especially praised for his particular way of storytelling in his songs, which is why he earned the nickname "The Storyteller." This is further confirmed by nine novels he authored between 1976 and 1996. His latest novel is titled What a Book!, and was out in 1996.

Johnny Mathis - Age 85

John Royce Mathis is an American jazz singer-songwriter who started singing in a church choir and a band while still in college. After a 1955 audition, he was able to secure a recording contract before releasing the chart-topping number-one hit Chances Are in 1957.

Best known for his rendition of Misty in 1959, Mathis also gained popularity for his renditions of other popular music and Christmas songs. Over the years, he has produced iconic pop and jazz songs like It's Not for Me to Say, Wild is the Wind, and Wonderful! Wonderful! Mathis is a cast member of the 2021 Ralph Wolfe Cowan documentary The Last Old Master.

Pat Boone - Age 86

Patrick Charles Eugene Boone is known by most not only for his pop hits of the '50s but also his escapades as the host of radio and television shows. He won local talent shows as a child before appearing on TV shows like Amateur Hour and Arthur Godfrey Talent Scouts.

In 1955, Boone made his singing debut with Two Hearts, Two Kisses, followed by Ain't That a Shame later that same year. During his career, he has acted in popular movies like Journey to the Center of the Earth, State Fair, and The Shape of Water. Boone is set to appear as himself in the 2021 Documentary Claim The Sky.

Barry Manilow - Age 77

Following the release of his hit song, Daddy Don't You Walk So Fast, Newton pivoted from making hits to giving unforgettable performances for a $1 million monthly paycheck in Las Vegas. Paul Michael Glaser is a famous actor, who gained his world renown with the role in Starsky & Hutch, as Detective Dave Starsky. Henry is in retirement since 2005, but she did return in one episode of Parks and Recreation in 2012.

Debbie Harry - Age 75

Debbie Harry is a world-famous singer and songwriter. She is the lead singer of Blondie, a rock band that was active from 1974 to 1982, and then came back in 1997 and is still working. The band has made many hits, like Call Me, Heart of Glass, Rapture, The Tide Is High, and many more.

During the band's hiatus, Harry started her solo career and has since released five studio albums, most recently in 2007 titled Necessary Evil. She also launched an acting career in the '80s and was in Union City, Videodrome, hairspray, Body Bags, and more. With Blondie, she released an album in 2017 titled Pollinator. 

Eva Marie Saint - Age 96

One of the longest careers in show biz is definitely Eva Marie Saint's, with over 75 years in length. She started in 1945 when she was only 19. Saint hails from New Jersey, US, and already started doing theater while in school.

She was later enrolled at the Bowling Green State University, where she had many lead roles in productions like Personal Appearance and others. Later on, the campus named a theater after Saint, and she is in that school's hall of fame. Saint's on-screen performances include On The Waterfront, which won her an Oscar, North by Northwest, and many more, while she was in Mariette in Ecstasy in 2019.

Christopher Plummer - Age 91

Christopher Plummer has a seven-decade-long career as a world-famous actor, and he's still going strong. We've just recently seen his brilliant performance in Knives Out, in 2019, while he rose to fame all the way back in 1965 when he was in The Sound of Music. Plummer was born in 1929 in Ontario, Canada.

He won an Oscar for his role in Beginners in 2010, while he was nominated two more times for The Last Station and All the Money in the World. Besides those, some of his praised roles were in The Insider, A Beautiful Mind, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, and others.

Angela Lansbury - Age 95

Angela Lansbury is a well-known actress to audiences of all ages. She was born in London, UK, in 1925, and she had started her career by the time she was 18. Through theater, TV, and finally movies, Lansbury reached international fame in the '40s after signing to MGM.

She appeared in 11 MGM production movies, including Gaslight and The Picture of Dorian Gray, both of which got her nominated for an Oscar. Later on, Lansbury was in Sweeney Todd, Gypsy, The King and I, Murder, She Wrote, and she voiced a few Disney animated characters, like the famous Mrs. Potts (the talking teapot) in Beauty and the Beast.

Jerry Lee Lewis - Age 85

Jerry Lee Lewis is a legendary musician and singer, one of the rock 'n' roll pioneers. He is best known for playing the piano and singing simultaneously, acting wild, and firing up the audience with his performance and music. For this, many consider him the "first great wild man of rock 'n' roll."

Lewis has many famous hits, but his undoubtedly most famous song is Great Balls of Fire. Some others would include Breathless, High School Confidential, To Make Love Sweeter for You, and many more. Lewis recently celebrated his 85th birthday via a live YouTube stream, and he is currently recording a gospel album.

Beverly Cleary- Age 104

Beverley Cleary is a well-known writer of both adult and children's fiction and, in fact, one of the most successful American living authors currently. She was born in 1916, and she turns 105 soon, in April 2021. Cleary was born in McMinnville, Oregon, US, and was raised in Grant Park, where many plots in her novels are actually set.

Her first book came out in 1950, titled Henry Huggins, and she has so far published a total of 44. She is the recipient of the National Medal of Arts, the Laura Ingalls Wilder Medal, has numerous more accolades, and even a school named after her in Portland, where she still resides.

Mel Brooks - Age 94

Mel Brooks is a living legend, a man who is one of the first world-famous actors/comedians. He was born in 1926, and his career kicked off in 1949 when he was a writer for Your Show of Shows, working alongside such names as Woody Allen, Larry Gelbart, and Neil Simon.

He quickly turned to directing, producing, acting, and even composing, and by his middle age, Brooks was one of the most successful filmmakers in the world (in the '70s). He is known for Blazing Saddles, History of the World parts I, Spaceballs, and many more. Recently, we could hear his voice in the Hotel Transylvania movies, as Vlad. 

Jackie Mason - Age 89

Jackie Mason is one of the oldest stand-up comedians today, with a career entering its eighth decade. He is also an actor, recognized for roles in movies like The Jerk and History of the World: Part I. Mason's career began in 1950, right around when he received his Bachelor of Arts.

Mason wrote all his material and quickly became known for his blend of innuendo, puns, and delivery, as well as his voice and particular humor style grounded in culture and often described as politically incorrect. He's had nine one-person shows, wrote four books, recorded 13 comedy albums, and five RV specials. Recently, he is a regular on The Simpsons, lending his voice to Hyman Krustofsky.

Hal Holbrook - Age 95

Hal Holbrook is a world-famous actor, born in 1925, in Ohio, US. Before he got into the arts, he served in World War II in the US Army and has reached the staff sergeant rank before being dismissed. He was stationed in Newfoundland, where he reportedly performed plays and theater productions.

Now, audiences today know Holbrook best as Mark Twain's character, from the one-person stage show Mark Twain Tonight!. Holbrook developed the character himself, and it has earned him many accolades. He has won five Primetime Emmys, a Tony Award, and the National Humanities Medal. On camera, he was most recently seen in an episode of Grey's Anatomy in 2017.

June Lockhart - Age 95

June Lockhart is a famous actress of Hollywood's golden age, mainly the '50s and the '60s. She was born in 1925 to Gene and Kathleen Lockhart, both famous actors of their time. This is why June already performed on stage when she was eight, and her screen debut was alongside her mother and father came in 1938, in A Christmas Carol.

She surpassed her parents' fame when she was in her early 20s, and June was soon in such movies as She-Wolf of London, Lassie TV show, Lost in Space TV show and movie, and many more. She was most recently in Bongee Bear and the Kingdom of Rhythm in 2019.

Robert Clary - Age 94

Robert Clary's acting career lasted from 1951 to 2001, so a full 50 years. He worked as an actor but also as a lecturer, an artist, and an author. Audiences undoubtedly would recognize Clary for Hogan's Heroes, where he played Corporal Louis LeBeau. Still, he has had many prominent performances on TV and the big screen during those five decades.

Clary was in The Hindenburg, Thief of Damascus, The Bold and the Beautiful, and many more. His last acting credit was for a voice role in Matisse & Picasso: A Gentle Rivalry, a 2001 documentary. Clary works as an artist now in retirement, and he lives in Beverly Hills.

Elizabeth II - Age 94

Elizabeth II, Queen Elizabeth, or just The Queen as many call her, is the Queen of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth realms, of which there are 15. Her rule began in 1952, on February 2nd, while she was coronated in 1953, on June 2nd. This makes her the longest-reigning and also the longest-lived British monarch in history.

Elizabeth II is also the longest-serving or longest-reigning female head of state in the history of the world. The list goes on, while she rules through constitutional monarchy, which exercises authority through a constitution, both written and unwritten. She celebrated her Diamond Jubilee in 2012 (sixty years of rule) and is approaching Sapphire, due in 2022.

Sandie Shaw - Age 74

It's impossible to dissociate the beautiful English singer Sandie Shaw from her 1967 Eurovision Song Contest victory. With the song "Puppet on a String," Shaw became the first British performer to win the music competition. In total, she had three number-one singles in the UK.

In 2013, Shaw announced her retirement from the music industry. Four years later, she was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire. In 2021, "Puppet on a String" has been re-released as part of a triple-disc compilation set titled Now That's What I Call Eurovision.

Susan Maughan - Age 82

Susan Maughan is an English singer who started her career in the early '50s. She's best known for her chart-topping hit "Bobby's Girl," a cover version of a Marcie Blane single that received considerable airtime both in the UK and in Norway. She continued to record music all the way until the mid-'70s and released two compilation records in the '90s.

It's been a while since we've last heard of Maughan. Given her advanced age, it's only natural. She's most likely enjoying her golden years in her Eastbourne residence, where she lives with her second husband, the theatre director Nick Leigh.

Cliff Richard - Age 80

Sir Cliff Richard is an English singer/actor with a six-decade career and over 250 million records sold worldwide. In his early years, Richard was seen as the British alternative to the early wave of American rock and roll musicians, which included the likes of Elvis Presley and Little Richard.

Over the years, he proved to be way more than just British Elvis, becoming one of the UK's most successful and beloved singers. In 2021, the fictional British crime-drama Line of Duty surprised viewers (in a bad way) by referencing Richard in one of its episodes. In 2014, Richard's home was raided by the police, but he was never arrested.

Lulu - Age 72

If you like the intro of the 1974 James Bond movie The Man With the Golden Gun, you have Lulu to think for. She composed the movie's title song, one of her many hit tunes. She's also known for the hits "To Sir With Love" and "Boom Bang-a-Bang," and the latter made it to the Eurovision Song Contest.

At the age of 72, the beautiful Lulu (whose real name is Marie Lawry) is still very active in the music business, and she cannot wait to get back to the stage. Kids these days may never forget Drew Carey for hosting the hit game show The Price Is Right, but before him, Bob Barker was the star of the show. The 97-year-old had become iconic because he presented the program for over 30 years until 2007, when he decided to retire.

While Barker rarely appears in public, perhaps due to his age, he remains a staunch animal rights activist. Before landing the game show job, he used to host pageants for two decades but resigned after the organizers continued to give fur coats to winners. The TV personality also encouraged viewers to have their pets spayed/neutered before the show ended.

Jimmy Carter - Age 96

Dan Quayle - Age 74

For people in the know, politician Dan Quayle may be remembered for his infamous vice presidential debate with Lloyd Bentsen in 1988. The running mate of George H.W. Bush likened himself to John F. Kennedy when asked if he was qualified to occupy the second highest seat in government, which backfired and resulted in an undying joke.

Nonetheless, Quayle completed his term in 1993 and had written several books in the years that followed. You may have also seen him in the news in early 2021 after attending Joe Biden’s inauguration. Together with Bill Clinton, he will be a guest at the Leon Panetta Lecture Series.

George John Mitchell - Age 87

After serving as a senator, George Mitchell focused on diplomatic roles. Former President Bill Clinton tapped him to be the United States Special Envoy for Northern Ireland from 1995–2001. Then, former President Barack Obama appointed him to be the United States Special Envoy for Middle East Peace starting 2009 to 2011.

Although Mitchell has largely stayed out of the spotlight in recent years, he made the news in August 2020 after it was revealed that he was diagnosed with leukemia. As per reports, he started with the treatments after he turned 87.

Thelma Barlow - 91

Thelma Barlow breathed life into the character of Mavis Wilton in Coronation Street for over two decades. The last time she portrayed her was in 1997 when Wilton left for the Lake District after her on-screen hubby Derek, played by Peter Baldwin, passed away.

Barlow has been asked twice or thrice through the years to go back to Corrie by its producers, but the English TV star always refused. Apart from the long-running ITV soap opera, she's also known for starring in the sitcom dinnerladies as Dolly Bellfield. The last project on her IMDb page is 2016's Florence Foster Jenkins.

Anne Reid - 86

Anne Reid had initially acted in other TV shows like Hancock's Half Hour (1957) and The Adventures of Robin Hood (1958). However, her big break came in playing Valerie Tatlock (later Barlow) on ITV's Coronation Street. She then portrayed Jean in the sitcom dinnerladies and Celia Dawson in Last Tango in Halifax, for which she got nominated for a BAFTA.

Reid can also boast about her performance in the film The Mother (2003) because it won her a London Film Critics Circle Award. In 2019, she co-starred in Years and Years, a six-part BBC drama show. As for this year, she's busy working on the movie SAS: Red Notice.

Eileen Derbyshire - 89

If it weren't for Eileen Derbyshire, we doubt Coronation Street fans would've loved the role of Emily Bishop as much. After all, she played the character for 55 years (1961-2016). Her time in the long-running ITV show has made her the longest-serving woman cast member in any British TV soap opera.

Because of her lengthy acting career, Derbyshire was appointed an MBE in the Queens Birthday Honours list of 2010. The 89-year-old star is a mother of one, and sports journalist Oliver Holt is her son. Thomas W. Holt, her husband since 1965, passed away in February 2021.

Barbara Knox - 87

Another star that came from Corrie is Barbara Knox. She also became an MBE on the Queen's Birthday Honours List in 2010 with her Corrie cast member and friend Eileen Derbyshire. After appearing as Rita Littlewood in a December 1964 episode, Knox returned in January 1972 to play Rita Tanner full-time.

Perhaps the reason why she's such a great actress is her background in theater, having made her professional stage debut at the Oldham Coliseum Theatre in 1962. Knox has a couple of awards under her name, and two of them are her British Soap Award and Malcolm Hebden a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Sissy Spacek - 71

Sissy Spacek is currently 71 years old and has had so many acting experiences that she's won herself numerous accolades through the years. The actress/singer singes is the recipient of multiple honors, from an Oscar to three Golden Globes and a Screen Actors Guild Award. She has also been nominated for a Grammy, three Primetime Emmys, and four British Academy Film Awards.

An upcoming Amazon series titled Light Years will showcase Sissy Spacek as the lead, together with Ed O'Neill. She is also busy with a family dramedy called Sam & Kate, which will star Dustin Hoffman.

 

 Carole Cook - Age 97

The always-classy Carole Cook is an all-around actress who excelled in film, TV, and theatre. A Texas native, she became a protegé of the late actress/comedian Lucille Ball in the late '50s and appeared on The Lucy Show and Here's Lucy. Years later, she made it to the cast of popular movies such as Knight Rider and Sixteen Candles.

A supporter of several AIDS organizations, Cook is not officially retired, even though she hasn't been on camera since appearing in the 2018 musical Waiting in the Wings: Still Waiting. In 2021, you can see her in the documentary Broadway: Beyond the Golden Age.

Mike Nussbaum - Age 97

Like many actors of his generation, Mike Nussbaum served in World War II before becoming a well-known performer. Born in Chicago in 1923, Nussbaum is a 97-year-old man who keeps proving that age is but a number: as of 2021, he's working on Christian, a new thriller movie directed by Joshua Russell.

The '80s were arguably Nussbaum's best decade, as he appeared in Fatal Attraction, House of Games, and Field of Dreams. But he's perhaps best known for his role as Gentle Rosenburg in the '90s blockbuster Men in Black. The comedy actor Larry Storch never announced his retirement from the screen, but we haven't seen him do what he does best since the 2010 TV series Medium Rare. Storch hit the big time in the '60s when he landed a part in F Troop and Tennessee Tuxedo and His Tales. He also excelled as an impressionist and voice actor.

More than just a talented performer, Storch is also a prolific one, making it to a whopping 246 acting productions over the years. He's now considered to be semi-retired, as he still travels the country to meet with his fans and manages a popular Facebook account with over 50K followers.

Joan Copeland - Age 99

Set to appear as an interviewee in the upcoming documentary The Needs of Kim Stanley, Joan Copeland is a former American actress who retired in 2011. She's the sister of the late playwright Arthur Miller and was the sister-in-law of the iconic Marilyn Monroe for a brief period.

But forget about her family connections: Copeland's brilliant acting career is of her own making and lasted for an impressive 66 years! A former American Playhouse and Law & Order superstar, Copeland is set to be celebrating her 100th birthday in the summer of 2022.

 Bo Derek – Age 64

After two decades of being in a relationship with John Corbett, Bo Derek finally married him in December 2020. The pair met in 2002 after Norby Walters, a Hollywood agent, set them up as each other's date at his yearly Oscars party.

The 64-year-old star was initially married to John Derek, who directed her in Tarzan, the Ape Man, Bolero, Fantasies, and Ghosts Can't Do It. After she was widowed in 1998, it took years before she finally found love again in Corbett. The 60-year-old actor was the one that made the revelation about their marriage on the CBS show The Talk in August 2021.

Iris Apfel – Age 99

Iris Apfel is an icon in the fashion industry and has also dabbled in interior design. Between 1950 and 1992, she was in business with Carl Apfel, her husband, since 1947 until he sadly passed away in 2015. She also had a career in textiles and had a contract spanning nine presidencies with the White House.

The self-described "geriatric starlet" has her own documentary called Iris (2014), which Albert Maysles directed. Easily recognized for her eclectic and bold style, Apfel caught the eye of IMG in 2019, the year they signed her as one of their models.

 Anne Archer - Age 73

The American actress Anne Archer landed her breakthrough role in the late '80s when she appeared in the steamy thriller Fatal Attraction. She was nominated for many awards and appeared in major Hollywood productions such as Patriot Games, Short Cuts, and The Art of War.

June Brown - Age 94

If there's anyone who deserves a break, that's June Brown. She still hasn't announced her retirement, but she's been away from the screen since 2020 when she decided to let go of her EastEnders character. The decision was surely tough: after all, Brown had been playing the iconic Dot Cotton since 1985!

When you portray the same character for over 2,350 episodes, the lines between reality and fiction can get a little blurred... Now 94, Brown finally has the time to enjoy her golden years without worrying about being Cotton. She'll forever remain one of the most hardworking soap opera stars in history.

Vanessa Redgrave - Age 84

It's hard to put Vanessa Redgrave's brilliant career into numbers, but we have one for you: 149. That's the number of productions that Redgrave has worked on, and it's been a long journey ever since she landed her acting debut alongside her father, actor Sir Michael Redgrave, in the 1958 medical drama Behind the Mask.

This London native beauty got her breakthrough with the 1977 World War II drama Julia and hasn't stopped since. In 2021, she made it to the romantic drama Finding You and to the most recent season of the TV series Call the Midwife.

Lewis Hamilton - Age 36

Driving the world's most speedy cars for a living sounds dangerous, but Sir Lewis Hamilton has managed to do it safely and successfully for many years now. Knighted in the 2021 New Year Honours, Hamilton is a seven-time Formula One champion with a whopping 99 wins and 173 podiums!

The new Formula One season is a big one for him: if he wins, he'll finally break the record of the German legend Michael Schumacher and stand tall as the only driver in history to land eight F1 championships! More than a talented driver, Hamilton is also an anti-racism activist and a generous philanthropist.

 Rollie Fingers — Age 74

Roland Glen 'Rollie' Fingers may already be 74 and retired from playing in Major League but he continues to be a legend that many people look up to to this day. As a Hall of Famer, he will be attending the upcoming induction of several players like Derek Jetter and Ted Simmons in September 2021 in Cooperstown.

During his heyday, Fingers played for the Milwaukee Brewers, Oakland Athletics, and San Diego Padres. He reportedly retired after refusing to shave his iconic mustache that he grew as part of Charlie Finley's $300-contest and maintained afterward.

Lucy Liu — Age 52

Hollywood actress Lucy Liu has gained fame for her action-packed credits like Charlie's Angels, Kill Bill, and Chicago. Active since the '90s, the 52-year-old doesn't seem to have plans of hitting the brakes on her career anytime soon because of the slew of her acting projects like Shazam! Fury of the Gods and The Invisibles.

Despite being active since 1988, John Noble only gained fame in the late 2000s. This is thanks to his role as Walter Bishop in the hit series "Fringe" and a recognized role in "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" as Denethor, ruling steward of Gondor.

He also had other major roles in shows like "Sleepy Hollow" and in "Elementary" as Morland Holmes, Sherlock Holmes's father. He has done voice acting voicing Unicron in "Transformers: Prime" and The Scarecrow, the main antagonist in the 2015 video game "Batman: Arkham Knight." He also had an episodic role in the 2021 series "Debris."

Michael Caton - Age 78

Michael Caton is a well-known Australian actor best known for roles as Uncle Harry in the series "The Sullivans" and Ted Taylor in "Packed to the Rafters." He has also had notable film roles. One was in a hit TV film called "The Castle," the other is called "Last Cab to Darwin," for which he earned an  AACTA Award nomination.

He also earned an  Australian Film Institute award for and a Logie. Despite never winning an award, he did was inducted into the Australian Film Walk of Fame for his work in TV and film. He returned as Ted Taylor in a spinoff show called "Back to the Rafters."

Rolf Harris - Age 91

In 2021, The Scottish Sun reported that Rolf Harris-inspired merchandise is still being sold at Amazon even though the former Australian entertainer was jailed for alleged abuse in 2014. Before seeing his reputation getting scarred in such a shocking manner, Harris was known for his work as a musician, comedian, and TV personality.

All things considered, it's hard to praise Harris for his decades-long show business career; but the fact is that he worked successfully as a musician and entertainer for decades, providing songs for films as ambitious as 2008's "Australia."

Jack Thompson - Age 70

Films like "Mad Max" and "Crocodile Dundee" are some of Australia's most popular films. They were part of what is known as the Australian New Wave, a resurgence in popularity of Australian films which occurred in the '70s and '80s. One of the key figures in this era is  Jack Thompson.

He is renowned for his roles in "The Club" and "Sunday Too Far Away" and also won Cannes and AFI awards for his role in "Petersen." His reputation has been rewarded with an honorary membership to the Australian Cinematographers Society and in 2020 had a role in a film called "High Ground."

William Shatner - Age 90

In 2021, the Canadian actor William Shatner made it to actual space after years of pretending to fly a spaceship on the small screen. The veteran Hollywood actor, best known for his portrayal of 'Captain James Kirk' in the "Star Trek" franchise, became the oldest person to go to space after traveling aboard a Blue Origin sub-orbital capsule, sponsored by the American billionaire Jeff Bezos.

Shatner was emotional upon landing and impressed by experiencing Earth's overview effect firsthand. Still active as an actor, he appeared in the 2021 series "My Life Is Murder."

Jackie Chan - Age 67

The Hong Kong actor/producer/martial artist Jackie Chan became famous all over the world for his highly-choreographed action flicks. He also impressed Western viewers by performing his own stunts on the big screen. Now less of a stuntman and more of an executive producer, Chan continues to star in movies such as 2021's "All U Need Is Love."

Also in 2021, Chan accepted an important position as a member of the Hong Kong election committee. It's his second experience in politics, as he's served as a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference since 2013.

Lydia Cornell - Age 68

Featured in the 2021 documentary "David Mirisch, the Man Behind the Golden Stars," the American actress Lydia Cornell is best known for her role in the sitcom "Too Close for Comfort." A talented comedy actress, she was also featured in Larry David's critically acclaimed series "Curb Your Enthusiasm."

In 2021, she was rumored to be filming a movie titled "The Awesome Adventures of Frankie Stargazer." However, her latest confirmed on-screen appearance happened in 2015, with the drama-thriller "Cats Dancing on Jupiter." An El Paso, Texas native, Cornell is a divorced mother of two.

Bette Midler - Age 75

Bette Midler rose to fame as an actor, author, and comedian. She has garnered numerous accolades, including three Grammy Awards. Performances in Off-Off-Broadway productions kickstarted her career, and she had a breakthrough with the staging of Broadway musicals like "Fiddler on the Roof" and "Salvation."

Middler also found success on the screen with credits in "The Stepford Wives," "Hocus Pocus," and "The First Wives Club." Susan Tully - Age 54

Susan Tully is known for her role in "Grange Hill" as Suzanne Ross. She gained heightened fame after landing the role of Michelle Fowler in "EastEnders." Her list of acting credits is relatively short, and she also appeared in " "Big Deal" and Up 'n' Under." In 2016, Jenna Russell took up the role of Michelle Fowler because Tully turned down offers to reprise the role.

She gave up acting in the late '90s to work behind the scenes. She has directed shows like "The A Word," "The Musketeers," and the 2020 series "C.B. Strike." As a producer, she worked on the 2003 TV series "The Bill." Away from the industry, Tully supports The Meningitis Trust and has been involved in Comic Relief fundraising events.

Clint Howard – Age 62

Clint Howard was born to a family of entertainers, so you could say he was born to entertain, too. In fact, he began his career as a toddler going on to make a name for himself as the lead star of the TV series "Gentle Ben" during the '60s.

Clint, who's the younger brother of "A Beautiful Mind" director Ron Howard, is still alive and thriving in the industry decades later and even starred in the film "Beyond Paranormal" in 2021. The brothers have also gone into writing books together and released the memoir "The Boys."

Don Johnson – Age 71

Don Johnson has been honing his craft since his days attending the Wichita South High School. No wonder he hit it big when he went out to Hollywood in search of fame and fortune. His best-known work is perhaps his role in the '80s TV series "Miami Vice" that later earned him an Emmy nod.

Still alive and busy acting in shows like the 2021 sitcom "Kenan," Don has also raised five children including his eldest daughter Dakota Johnson, who is also an actress. That said, the "Nash Bridges" actor has definitely made a lasting mark in the industry.

Susan Saint James – Age 75

As an actress, Susan Saint James endeared herself to a generation of TV viewers starring in the shows "McMillian & Wife" in the '70s and "Kate & Allie" a decade later. She took a couple of years-long acting breaks following the latter but seems to be active again as she had a small role in the streaming TV series "The Haunting Of Bly Manor" in 2020.

During her hiatus, Saint James tried her hand at radio broadcasting and spent time raising her kids, according to a 1993 Baltimore Sun report. She has five children from her three marriages. Based on her Instagram posts, she lives in Connecticut with her husband Dick Ebersol.

Richard Chamberlain – Age 87

Armed with his charm and good looks, Richard Chamberlain rose to prominence as a heartthrob during the '60s. Loyal fans would remember him from such memorable projects as the medical drama "Dr. Kildare" and the disaster film "The Towering Inferno." Now rocking eyeglasses and grey strands, it's undeniable that Chamberlain is still the same debonair leading man.

It appears that he's also carrying on his acting career, starring in the film "Finding Julia" in 2019. Not much else is known about his life these days though as he doesn't seem to be active on any major social media platforms.

Trevor Eve – Age 70

A successful performer on and off the stage, Trevor Eve is an actor best known for his TV roles in the BBC detective show "Shoestring" and the crime drama "Waking The Dead." Meanwhile, his theater work brought him much critical acclaim leading him to win two Laurence Olivier Awards.

Still alive and booking jobs, Eve has a recurring part in the fantasy series "A Discovery Of Witches," which aired its second season in 2021. In the same year, he also portrayed the late real-life financier J.P. Morgan, who headed the investment banking firm of the same name.

Roberta Flack – Age 84

Roberta Flack is an artist whose craft is expressed in jazz, as well as the R&B scene. She was the first artist to win a Grammy for Record of The Year for two consecutive years. She is infamously known for one of her songs being sung in every amateur Idol's audition: "Killing Me Softly With His Song."

Even in her eighth decade of life, Flack is still making music. In 2018 she released "Running," and in 2020, she was awarded a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2021, she is working behind the scenes at The Roberta Flack Foundation.

John Amos – Age 81

John Amos is an American actor and carries eight decades of history on his feet, making him a face that Boomers and Gen Zers can recognize. He also grew through America's history, so he knows what it was like to be at the bottom as a garbage collector through to his iconic role in 2021 as Cleo McDowell in "Coming 2 America."

It means that Amos is still going strong in Hollywood. More vital now that he has a Primetime Emmy to his name, he will surely bag more great roles in the coming future.

Christopher Atkins – Age 60

Christopher Atkins was an aspiring baseball player, but his knees kept holding him back from making any remarkable progress as a player. Fortunately, his good looks allowed him to start a modeling career, and it was only a matter of time before he got an acting job.

In 1980, he starred in the romantic movie "Blue Lagoon," which was the turning point in his life. His co-star was Brooke Shields, and the plot follows two teenage cousins who find love while stranded on a tropical paradise. In 2021, he plays Edward in "Attraction to Paris."

Junior Bridgeman – Age 68

Before we had the Le Bron Jameses, the Micahel Jordans, or Kobe Bryants, we had Junior Bridgeman. He was earning a decent amount as an NBA player, around $350K a year, but it was as a business that he would accumulate even more serious financial wealth, that figure being $600 million.

After his retirement, Bridgeman had a good brand that allowed him to leverage his business acumen and create a chain of fast-food restaurants. These days he manages two magazines, Ebony and Jet, which he acquired in 2020, and works to turn them into profitable publications.

Jake Steinfeld – Age 63

Sometimes great acts of defiance occur when we are children. A teenage kid from Long Island, with a thick New York accent and too much fat on his bones, looked down at the Twinkies that his parent gave to him, and he said, "No, not for me, dad."

To think this kid would grow up to be Jake Steinfield, the fitness guru, is something. He is a famed fitness instructor across the United States and is the CEO of  Jake (Body by Jake), through which he developed his other business interests. In 2021, he became a spokesperson for exercise's benefits, given the pandemic's effects on mobility.
