Virtual weddings might have seemed like an odd concept years ago, but the COVID-19 pandemic changed everyone’s perception of it. Due to stringent anti-infection measures applied in different countries, many couples had to postpone their nuptials to comply. Thankfully, there is now an option to conduct a virtual wedding ceremony.

Dress to Impress

Having a plus one to a virtual event might seem like a good idea since the couple won’t be spending a single cent but think hard before making this big decision. A wedding, virtual or otherwise, is still a private event. It might not be a good idea to introduce a stranger to the newlyweds.
In the instance where you really want to have a plus one, inform the couple ahead and respect whatever decision that may arise in the end.

Is gift-giving expected even for virtual weddings? Yes, and thanks to the wonders of a digital gift registry, it is quicker and easier for guests to pick a gift without leaving the comforts of their home. Mailing a card, check, or even sending a bouquet of flowers is also an acceptable way to convey your best wishes.
Just remember that this is an optional gesture, so don’t feel pressured about giving a gift.
Be on Time
Whether a friend or a family member, the most important thing one can do for the soon-to-be couple is to be on time. This gives everyone a chance to mingle with other guests virtually, and it sets the wedding mood right.
