Don’t you just hate it when your computer lags and you can’t get your assignments completed on time? In the tech world, there is always a trendier, faster-thinking machine, but they are not cheap.

That is why we think boosting your personal computer is a better option. Listed below are five things you can do to upgrade your laptop and meet those deadlines.

Tidy Up Your Machine

We are talking about cleaning your computer externally here. This means using electronic-friendly wipes and removing dirt/debris from the screen and lenses.

A more comfortable and safer alternative is to use a bottle of compressed air, and the trick is to use is to spray it on to the keyboard/screen.

Soon, your computer would be spick and span and ready to take on a new adventure! Make sure you read the instructions on the label and do not shake it before use.

Time to Unclutter

Is your desktop a jumble of documents, files, and folders from two years ago?

Time to unclutter then! A digital mess can be draining for the computer and causes it to lag and slow down. If you have programs and software manuals that you rarely use, right-click on the icon and delete it.

Don’t worry, as this does not remove the application of your machine. It just gets rid of the shortcut on your desktop. To organize, try creating folders and shift similar files to a single folder.

Get rid of crumbs

Have you heard of cache and cookies? These are temporary files that get stored on your machine and, when accumulated, can slow down your computer.

No matter what internet browser you use, make sure to clear the cache to keep your machine running smoothly.

Eliminate the Old

Old photographs and documents slow down your PC quite significantly. Try to get rid of unwanted pictures, files, and documents, and organize only the needed files neatly and in folders.

Step Up the Game and Stay Up-To-Date

Your computer slows down when you are using an older version of some software and operation systems like Windows or iOS. If your computer is ultra-slow, try swapping for a newer version.

Be up-to-date with new firmware as well. Neglecting a system update could be harmful to your machine and could make it even worse. Being vulnerable is not that great of an idea, not to you or your computer!

Update your computer as soon as you receive a notification about a new system update or reschedule it and remember to do it.

Unclutter, organize, and submit those assignments on time!
